Today’s exhortation – perfect love

The bible says,“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1‬) “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” (Colossians‬ ‭2:13-14‬). Hallelujah! “Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.””‭‭ (Romans‬ ‭4:8‬). When Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, the bible says, they were terrified. I believe they were terrified because they felt condemned, they thought he would exact revenge, but instead they found forgiveness and they found love.

He told them to draw near to him quickly and then he embraced them and wept over them. Then he told them not to be afraid, because what they meant for evil, God intended for good. They felt the warmth of his embrace and his tears washed away their fears. What a magnificent picture of the love of Christ to us ward! When we repent and confess our sins, He’s faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Here the brothers found, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment…” (1 John‬ ‭4:18‬). No sin is too much for Christ to forgive and no hurt too deep for Him to heal. Amen
