Psalms 113

Prayer Letter 30th June 2017

Hello everyone,

I trust that you are all well.
Welcome to a new recipient of the PL. Pleased you are on board with us.

I regularly look at Twitter. I follow a number of Police Officers, Police Dogs and others connected with the Police. It gives me knowledge of many activities in which you are involved. It gives me yet more reasons to be so grateful to you all for the work you carry out. So again as before a “Very Big Thank You”
I have no specific Prayer topics; however I am certain Praying for each other is essential throughout the Forces that receive the PL, The Met, Surrey and Sussex.

I do have news for Praise. An Officer who receives this PL, has today been able to return to work, albeit part time. This is an amazing answer to Prayer after many months of being totally unfit to carry out his duties. Thank You Lord!

Whilst in France some months ago on holiday, I attended the Church which was a Plant from here in Surrey. One of the Members shared with us how she had been reading the story of the plans that God gave His people when He told them to build a Tabernacle for Him. She was amazed at the detail that God gave His People, it was certainly not God’s idea and then asked the people to get on with it. He shared great details with them as we read in Exodus. Perhaps like me you have seen a scaled down model.

I was reminded of the verse in Psalm 139. 13. “You created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb”. Also 1Cor: 6.19. “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit”. God is interested in us as individuals and we are so precious to Him.
I Pray that this week you will be aware of the value that God has placed upon your life and how He is totally committed to you.

Please feel free to make contact with me at any time by clicking here, or adding a comment below

Many Blessings from Your Heavenly Father.
In Him
Alice.

Today’s exhortation – empty us Lord

I have often wondered why God let Joseph go to prison. Why did He let all this trouble come upon an innocent man? Indeed we all wonder, why do the wicked flourish and the righteous suffer? I believe it’s because it’s the only way we get to know Him and see our absolute need of Him. I have also concluded that Joseph had to be emptied of himself so that God could fill him with Himself. David was afflicted too though he was innocent and he said, “The proud have forged a lie against me, But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.”‭‭ (Psalms‬ ‭119:69,71‬).

Indeed, “For the LORD corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom He delights.” ‭(Proverbs‬ ‭3:12‬). Every day Joseph spent in prison and suffered injustice brought him to a place of complete emptiness so that God could fill him with His Spirit. I believe when this was done, his promotion came. When Pharaoh sought for a man to put in charge of saving Egypt, the bible says “And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”” (Genesis‬ ‭41:38‬). Father, please bring us to the end of ourselves and empty us so that we can be completely filled with Your Spirt. Amen!
