Matthew 11

Prayer Letter 6th July 2018

Hello everyone,

I have received a number of responses to last week’s PL, with reference to the problems at Beachy Head and also the pleasure received from hearing the story of the Toddler singing “Happy Day”. Thank You.

  • With the concern shown by yourselves in the happenings at Beachy Head, I would again ask that together we Pray for this situation. Firstly, those in distress and feel the need to end their lives and then people such as Police/Chaplains/Relatives and Members of the Public who deal with the aftermath.
  • Prayer please for Family/Colleagues and Friends of John Stafford, an Officer from Staines, attending his Funeral; led by our Surrey Police Chaplain Patrick Samuels, taking place on Monday 9th July at Guildford Cathedral.

Following on from the Toddler last week and Father’s Day the week before; this week I want to relate another happening, still on the subject of God being our Heavenly Father.

I had a chat with a friend this week. He explained to me that his Daughter had phoned him in distress. She is a Mum of two children and recently Dad walked away from the family. She told her Dad in tears that a family pet belonging to the children had died. “Dad how am I going to tell the children, how am I going to deal with this?” Up until a few weeks before, the Children’s Dad would have been there to support and take responsibility. But not so now.

Her Dad went to her home immediately and discussions took place and plans were put in action.

As my friend related that story to me. I was again reminded of our relationship with our Heavenly Father. No matter what is happening around us, friends let us down, relationships are in jeopardy, Our Heavenly Father is waiting to hear from us and is immediately available.

“Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matt 11 28-30.

My Prayer for you this week in the enormity of your work and whilst with your family; is that you will know that rest that Your Heavenly Father wishes to share with you.

Blessings in His Precious Name

Today’s exhortation – don’t self harm

There’s a cry for help amongst us that often goes unnoticed and it is “self-harming.” I have good news for anyone who self-harms, Jesus has paid the price for everything you feel guilty about and for the emotional pain or trauma to your soul. He says, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew‬ ‭11:28). You may think that the best way to deal with your pain or trauma from things like failure, shame, guilt, sex abuse, drug abuse etc is by self harming, but that’s not true. Jesus has taken care of everything so you don’t need to punish yourself or deal with your pain in your own strength.

The bible says, “He is a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief… Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows… He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-5‬). He said “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” (John‬ ‭10:10‬). He came “to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. To console all who mourn and provide for those who grieve. To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…”” (Isaiah‬ ‭61:3‬). Amen

Your Battleplan For Victory?

We are at WAR! It’s official & has been, since man fell from grace after Adam’s sin. The question  is ‘what is your battle plan?’
Are you aware that behind the scenes in the atmospheric Heavens, there is a cosmic war ensuing between Christ & the anti-Christ; Light & darkness, indeed good & bad? The reason, Lucifer ‘the son of the morning’ who was an angelic being, created by God, wanted to BE God. The Bible speaks of the ‘mystery of iniquity’ which is that, God gave the angelic beings a ‘choice‘ & lucifer and a 1/3 of his demonic Angels chose to oppose God to try and be Ruler of Heaven. Satan is an imposter of God!

Have you ever thought of why we experience the issues in life that we do? How every time we move forward its like we are being held or take steps back? Like we are being sabotaged? We are plain sailing then sickness hits your child; wife says she no longer has feelings for you”; children begin acting up; serving God seems like hard work & someone is always being chosen “over you..”; employers not happy with your standard of work despite you giving more than ever before; car breaks down; finances gets holes in them; your wells that were healthy suddenly becomes stagnant or are ‘blocked’ & not producing clean, flowing water; The storm begin to rage? Satan is at work & is on assignment to stop us entering into The Heavenly Rest, that Paradise, with Our Father Jesus Christ to reign with Him forever! The enemy is trying to set us up! But don’t “curse God & die..” as Job’s wife told him unwisely to do! Jesus is in the boat with you. See how, see why;

‘Isaiah 14’ How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High??

Again the nature of Satan and how he fell is spoken in ‘Ezekiel 28’ “He was the perfect being full or wisdom & knowledge”
Satan was an anointed cherub. Called ‘leader of the host’ of worship & praise; The scripture continues; “You were perfect in your ways until Unrighteousness was found in you..” He is a dark angelic being. The dark and devilish spiritual being. We MUST know the enemy & be prepared. Satan is PERSONIFIED as evil. He looks for a ‘foothold to create a stronghold’ in us or in situation to effect us! Our primary struggle & issue, is the satanic, powerful force, not addiction, not our families, not depression or sickness – it is he is the force BEHIND all these things and he is doing it now because he knows Jesus is coming back soon, not only to deal with him but to take His Church, those who chose to follow Jesus in truth, up to Heaven! Revelation 12:12 ‘Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.’

Paul describes Satan as the ‘Angel of light’. He is a negative powerful angelic being but He has NO DOMINION OVER GOD. This is confirmed in Isaiah 12:15 “Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit!” GOD IS IN CONTROL!

Think of your Battle Plan; worship & praise & obedience to the will of God??! Satan hates when we praise God as he was the Angel in charge of worship & praise & he played beautiful music in heaven. He was stripped of this role when he was ‘cast out’ of Heaven by God because he chose to be disobedient! Thus he was immediately EVICTED! And now he seeks to imitate God by taking up residence, negatively & by force, in our minds, hearts & bodies by plaguing us with fear, sickness  & darkness. He seeks for us to be disobedience and dishonour God. He detests when we worship because he knows with worship, true obedience & praise comes the blessings from God. With disobedience & dishonour, comes the curses spoken of in Deuteronomy 28:18 and satan aims always, to distracts us from seeking God FIRST  to facilitate disobedience & he tries to steal our joy! Don’t allow him! Don’t entertain him & don’t give him access, stay on track & keep your focus upwards on Jesus! Call on Jesus’ name to evict the presence of the enemy from whatever area of your life he stalks you in! Stand still & see the salvation of The Lord, there IS a King in you. If you have not already chose to follow Jesus Christ of Nazareth, The Godman, Our Saviour then I encourage you to do so soon. The dispensation (the time) of grace is coming to a close. Jesus IS coming back again Revelation 12:12. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them

When Jesus died on the cross “He cried It Is Finished!”- everything  we would EVER face  in our lives because of the enemy satan, every single pain, has been dealt with by the shedding of Jesus’ blood! When he was buried, all hell – Satan & his demonic forces- celebrated “it’s a party over here!!” He thought he had won But… ON THE 3RD DAY JESUS ROSE  FROM THE DEAD TRIUMPHANTLY ! AS HE SAID HE WOULD! AMEN! Sickness ran, depression ran, adultery ran, addiction ran, conflict ran, persecution ran, hatred ran, mental illness ran, financial distress ran, bitterness ran, lies ran & fear ran! JESUS DESTROYED THEM ALL! He is THE Omnipotent, Omniscient ALL powerful, ALL knowing, EVER PRESENT GOD??

We are NO match for Satan of ourselves BUT we fight FROM our VICTORY in Jesus Christ the victory that came from JESUS rising from the dead & TAKING IT BY FORCE, taking back the keys to death & hell!!! Matthew 11:12″And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force…” The Greek for ‘suffer violence’ is ‘BIAZETAI‘- ‘to force’, ‘to come with violence’, ‘to crowd into’!! Jesus TOOK our deliverance! And GAVE His life for our redemption, amen.

Join me for Part 2: It focuses on walking in the strategic plan &WHO leads us on the battlefield. Remember “our weapons of warfare are not carnal but spiritual!” Be so very blessed this week & beyond beautiful soldier of Jesus & know your life strategy, your battle plan, just like a warrior knows theirs. We are ‘the apple of His eye’ He loves us desperately. He is always with us. So until we next meet, God be with you,

Samantha?

Today’s exhortation – Jesus the bread of life!

I believe one of the greatest treasures in the story of Joseph is the parallel between him and Christ. Here are some of them. Like Jesus, Joseph was loved by his father. Like Jesus, he was hated by his brothers, and was envied by them. Also, both were conspired against, insulted, stripped of their clothing. Joseph’s coat was sprinkled with blood and given to his father Jacob, as the Blood of Jesus was presented to His Father in Heaven. Like Joseph, Jesus was falsely accused, did not defend Himself, was cast into prison, suffered severely, taken from the prison of the tomb by the hand of God and exalted to the highest position over the world. Both were 30 years old when they began their ministry of saving their people.

At Joseph’s coronation, Pharaoh said to him, “I am Pharaoh, but no one will be able to raise his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt without your word.”(Genesis‬ ‭41:44‬). Similarly, Christ is the word of God and all things are sustained by the power of His word! When famine came to all of Egypt, and the people cried out to Pharaoh for food, he told them, “Go to Joseph and do whatever he tells you.” ‭(Genesis‬ ‭41:55‬). Now, Egypt represents the world and we too are to go to Jesus and do whatever He tells us. He is the bread of life and the answer to everyone’s problems. He says, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬). Amen!
