Prayer Letter 6th April 2018

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for the replies received following the Easter PL.

Sometime ago, I mentioned that the Officer who was leading the Sussex CPA was retiring from the Force and was handing over his Leadership to another Officer.

This last week it was announced the Leader of the London Christian Police Family, Inspector Chris Heflin-Scott has stepped down due to ill health and has handed over his Leadership to another Officer, Pc Paul Tyrrell
Please Pray for both Groups as these changes take place, including the former Leaders.

In these tough days of Policing, I again want to encourage you. On Sunday I was reminded of the story of the Disciples who were totally disillusioned by the happenings on what we now call “Good Friday”. They were so scared that they locked themselves away in a room. It is easy to imagine their conversations. Did they recall what Jesus said to them only three days before?

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14.27.

My Prayer for you, is that you know the Peace that only the Lord can bring.

Please feel free to contact me at any time by adding a comment below, or privately by clicking here

Many Blessings
In Him
Alice.

Today’s exhortation – setting captives free

We thank God that in the light of His word, we can see and expose the workings of demonic oppression and be free from them. So how can we detect their activity? Demons work by harassing us or making life miserable for us. They’re also like amplifiers that take a weak signal and amplify it. They take our weak places of emotion like pain, hurt, fear, anxiety, bad experience, bondage etc and make it way bigger than it is. E.g. Have you had a painful incident play in your mind over and over till you just want to scream? That’s what I mean, they make mountains out of molehills. They torment our minds with fear and lies, cause us to have painful emotions by condemning or reminding us of very painful words or events, weaken our wills by wearing us out, deceive us into believing that we are not loved and make us feel abandoned or rejected even by God and can also make us physically sick.

Thankfully, Jesus has made provision for us in His name to break all of these things off our lives. But to enjoy this continually, we’ve to remove all ground or doors that demons may have in our lives. Jesus said to His disciples before He went to the cross, “… the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” (John‬ ‭14:30‬). What He meant was that there were no grounds, handles or doors in His life that gave the devil any right or way to do anything to Him. E.g.s of these doors or grounds are generational curses, ungodly beliefs, soul hurts, sins, bitterness, judgements, unforgiveness etc. By His grace, over the past weeks, we’ve been removing them so that we can live life and live it more abundantly. Amen! To be cont..

Today’s exhortation – In Him

The Lord Jesus said ““Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (John‬ ‭14:12). So I asked The Lord why we weren’t seeing the level of healing and breakthroughs He said we would and I felt Him say, it’s because we haven’t fully grasped who we are in Christ, what He’s done for us and who we are as sons and daughters. Once we grasp that, the way we pray will change because we will get a revelation of The Father’s love for us and the authority that comes with being His children. Then we will begin to do what He said in the scripture.

So now I am on a quest to find out who I am in Christ and I will encourage everyone to as well. I will recommend Kenneth’s Hagin’s book “In Him” as a start. There’s clearly so much more in store for us than we are seeing now. We can’t be satisfied with the status quo. God says, “ask of Me and I will give you the nations as an inheritance.” (Psalms 2:8). That’s the size of what He’s willing to give us if we ask Him. All the blessings of Abraham are our’s, healing, spiritual and financial blessings, favour, etc are all our’s. (Galatians 3:14). Think of how much we can accomplish if we get who we are in Jesus? O God give us a revelation of Your love for us and who we are in Christ. Amen

Today’s exhortation – unimaginable blessings

The bible says, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” (‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9‬). Note that it says, for those who love Him! And how do we know we love Him? Jesus said, “If you love Me, obey My commandments.” (John‬ ‭14:15‬). It seems fairly straightforward but of course it’s not easy. We see in Joseph’s life that loving God comes with trials and obeying comes with suffering but, the rewards are unimaginable. We also know that he put God first in the face of sexual temptation, treachery and betrayal and it cost him his freedom. But in return, God gave him more than he asked for.

All he wanted was to be released from prison so that he could go back to Canaan to see his father, but God took him from prison into a palace overnight and put all the wealth of Egypt at his disposal. Then God brought his father and all his family to him in Egypt. What’s more, he didn’t have to go looking for a wife, God gave him that too with two sons. I believe the lesson here is that if we put God first no matter the cost and don’t become weary in doing good, in due season, He will open the windows of heaven and pour on us so much blessings that there won’t be enough room to contain it. And, it will be the kind of blessings we never imagined. Amen
