Prayer Letter 15th December 2016

Hello everyone,

Messages I have received this week, thank you.

  •  “Thanks for your concern; I am fine-just doing the sink/swim new job experience again!!”
  •  “Thanks as always for your encouraging and thoughtful Prayer Letter, I genuinely find them a great source of strength and support. It is a great encouragement to be part of a big Christian Family in the Police”.

Prayers for each other please, as you undertake your duties and spend time with your family at this special time of the year

Last Sunday I visited our local C of E, speaking on behalf of Woking Street Angels. The Vicar spoke on Psalm 139. He eventually came to verse 16. “All the days of my life were written in Your Book, before they even started”. God knew all about us even before we were born. He knew too what we were going to be like.
Would He come despite our life style?

On Monday evening I attended the Emergency Services’ Service in Guildford. Our Sup: Chris Moon read the following, “For unto us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. Is: 9. 6/7.
God’s Promise.

On Sunday in a Church in London, Chief Superintendent John Sutherland, from the Metropolitan Police Service read, “To all who receive Him and believe on His Name, He gives the right for them to become the Children of God. John 1.12.
His Promise Fulfilled!

I trust that you will all experience that Wonderful On Going Love He brought for us at this particular moment of the year.

Please do feel free to contact me here, or leave a comment below.

A Very Happy Christmas to Surrey, Sussex and the forces of London
Alice.

Prayer Letter 18th November 2016

Candle

Jesus said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12).

This week I was struggling to sleep with my mind full of anxieties, worries and the added thought of being called out feeling drained.

I was reminded that Jesus is not only the Light of the World but also promises us that however bad the darkness is the darkness will never overcome it (John 1:5).

This week whatever darkness you have seen, heard, sensed or felt Jesus promises us that his Light will never be put out.

Recently Simon and myself had the privilege of attending a National Christian Police Association Leaders Training Event. A question poised to us was what are our 3 priorities as a local christian association?

Can I ask for your consideration of this question and reply to this prayer letter. You can reply by adding a comment below or by clicking here

Finally we continue prayers for:

* Wisdom for the Sussex police leadership team including Nick Ephgrave, Sir Hogan-Howe in the Met, Commissioner Ian Dyson, and BTP Chief Superintendent Martin Fry who is the senior officer responsible for London, South and East England.

* Healing for our colleagues off work through injury/illness

* Alice, who normally writes the Prayer Letters, as she recovers from an eye operation

* Peace for those officers/staff who feel overwhelmed with demands.
God’s Peace and Light be with you this coming week.

Yours in Christ,

Nick
