Today’s exhortation – you shall overcome

In this race of life, we have spectators whom the bible calls the great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1). They’re not only watching us, but cheering us on to victory. They urge us on to carry on in our difficult moments and to live godly. They would say to us, “your current situation is not your final destination. Your weeping may endure for a night but joy may come in the morning. (Psalm 40:5). God will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born. (Isaiah 66:9). There’s a blessing for your pain and it’s on the way. God knows why He’s allowing you to go through. Listen to what brother Job said, “He knows the way that I take and when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold!” (Job 23:10). Don’t give in or give up!

They would say, look at the bigger picture. God is changing you from glory to glory and change comes with pain. But, this pain is producing for you an eternal weight of glory. (2 Corinthians 4:17). Therefore brothers and sisters, we urge you to do what Paul said, “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” (Philippians‬ ‭3:14‬). We say that because it’s so true that “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:9‬). We’ve overcome and so can you! Press on! Amen

Today’s exhortation – you’ll dance again

The bible says, “…His favour is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” (‭Psalms‬ ‭30:5‬). And though, the night can be very very long, it doesn’t last forever! Surely the morning will come. In Jacob’s case, his night lasted 22 years! His precious son Joseph was presumed dead, but God was at work! It’s true, God’s favour is for life! He never leaves us not forsakes us. As Job would say, “He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” (‭‭Job‬ ‭23:10‬). Indeed His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches over me! A long night of 22 years and suddenly Jacob’s night was over and the morning sun broke through! Hallelujah!!

The bible says, “but when the brothers told him all the words which Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived.” (Genesis‬ ‭45:27). May this be your season of good news! May your spirit be revived and may your morning come now! May this be the words you sing from this time forth in Jesus Name! “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,” (Psalms‬ ‭30:11‬). Amen!
