Change of name to MetCPA.org

This website has changed it’s domain name to MetCPA.org. It was known as HTChristians.org while Tower Hamlets tested this new website on behalf of the branch. I’m pleased to announce that the branch leadership have given the go ahead to roll this out met-wide.

This will be a process that will likely take several months, as behind the scenes changes are made to accommodate each borough as they come on-line.

In preparation for this, this website should now be accessed from www.MetCPA.org

HTChristians.org will divert to MetCPA.org during the transition.

Thank you to everyone who helped test this website and provided feedback.

Kind Regards

Chris

Prayer and Fellowship meeting Friday 26th October

It was a great prayer meeting last Friday. The group in prayer felt called to focus on the persecution of Christians around the world.

I mentioned that recently I’d been told that in the last year 10,000 Christians have been martyred for doing no more than worshiping Jesus. However, sadly a look around the internet shows that this may be a grossly under-estimated figure.

The World Evangelical Alliance has reported that over 100 million believers, in more than 60 countries, are routinely denied the most basic human rights, simply because of their Christian faith? It has been estimated that 176,000 Christians were martyred from mid-2008 to mid-2009?, Emeal Zwayne, executive vice president of Living Waters, said that few Christians in the U.S. are even aware “that an estimated 176,000 Christians were martyred from mid-2008 to mid-2009.” (www.livingwaters.com).

Those of us that work within the UK police service here are free to worship, however we should remember in prayer those who live under oppression and risk of death because of their love for Our Lord Jesus.

Next Limehouse meeting, 7.30am Friday 2nd November, as usual we meet first in the canteen.

Prayer and Fellowship meeting Friday 19th October

It was lovely to see you all this morning. Again, a wonderful time of prayer, songs and the encouragement of God’s word. Welcome back to Chris and well done for staying up to make the meeting…who needs sleep anyway!!

For those who couldn’t make it…we missed you! Here is a summary:

Through Isaiah we see a picture of God’s people (Judah) who are being hounded by Syria and Israel, not to mention the Assyrian colossus. They are oppressed, despondent, hopeless and broken. What they want is a leader who will be more ruthless and violent than their enemies who will wipe the opposition from the face of the earth. What they get is the promise of a baby boy who will become the Prince of Peace. This promise was the only solution to their problem then….and it is the only solution to our problems today.

Isaiah 55: 8 & 9

8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

God doesn’t always answer our prayers the way we expect Him to or when we think the time is right…but His timing is always perfect and His solutions always faultless. The more we get to know God and focus on Him the more we will be able to trust that His answers are…well…perfect!

We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting which will be on Friday 26th October, 7.30am at Limehouse.

Have a wonderful week.
God bless
Lara
