Today’s exhortation – It’s all about Jesus

Before we move on from the life study of Joseph, we’ve to look at the big picture of his story. God sent him to Egypt to preserve His chosen people and to make a way for the Messiah to come. Before Jacob died, he prophesied about the Messiah saying, “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.” (Genesis‬ ‭49:10‬). Shiloh is another name of The Messiah Jesus and the sceptre is about His kingship as King of kings. He is the Lion of the tribe of Judah and the desire of all nations. (Haggai 2:7).

And about the obedience of the people, it is written: “ As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.”” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:11‬). I believe God’s bigger picture is transform all men into the image of His Son Jesus. In order for that to happen, He had to be born a man and so God chose Abraham to use him to make a nation of people through whom He will come. Jesus death on the cross was also to enable us to receive The Holy Spirit of whom it is written, “…And The Lord—who is The Spirit—makes us more and more like Him as we are changed from glory to glory into His glorious image.”‭‭ (2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬). Hallelujah! Ultimately, it’s all about Jesus.
