Today’s exhortation – inner healing

The love of God has been revealed to us and He is The Lord Jesus Christ! He reigns over every circumstance in our lives and over all things. Nothing you’re going through now or have been through is too great for Him to heal. If there’s anything stealing, killing or destroying your life, The Lord Jesus has made provision for our healing and deliverance in all areas of our lives. He said, “the thief comes to steal, kill and to destroy, but I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly!” (John 10:10). Who is the thief? It’s the devil and his cohorts. They’re the ones stealing, killing and destroying our lives, marriages, joy, peace, happiness, families etc.

But there’s good news, the bible says, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (I John‬ ‭3:8‬). “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians‬ ‭2:15‬). Now we may wonder why don’t we just pray and get healed instantly for inner healing, but matters of the heart and soul can run deep and The Lord in His mercy heals us gently. The bible says of Jesus, “A bruised reed He will not break…” (Isaiah‬ ‭42:3‬). He deals with us with tenderness and care because we’re fragile. Over this week, we will look at how to deal with generational curses. Continue to have a blessed week.

Today’s exhortation – The CROSS

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”” (I Corinthians‬ ‭1:18-19‬). God turned the cross which was the biggest symbol of fear in the known world for the excruciating way people were made to die on it and made it the biggest symbol of love and of hope! The image which once inspired fear and defeat now inspires faith and victory. It was at the cross that, God erased the charges that were brought against us by the written laws God had established. He took the charges away by nailing them to the cross. He stripped the rulers and authorities of their power and made a public spectacle of them as He celebrated His victory in Christ. (Colossians‬ ‭2:14-15‬).

The sight of the cross screamed “Guilty!” But now it screams “GRACE!” The power of the cross is that we know that we’re no longer slaves to fear and to death, because we are children of God. It was at the cross that demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans‬ ‭5:8‬). And because of the cross, the weak can say, “I am a mighty man.” (Joel‬ ‭3:10‬). Because of the cross, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.” (Romans‬ ‭16:20‬). Amen

Today’s exhortation – perfect love

The bible says,“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1‬) “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” (Colossians‬ ‭2:13-14‬). Hallelujah! “Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.””‭‭ (Romans‬ ‭4:8‬). When Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, the bible says, they were terrified. I believe they were terrified because they felt condemned, they thought he would exact revenge, but instead they found forgiveness and they found love.

He told them to draw near to him quickly and then he embraced them and wept over them. Then he told them not to be afraid, because what they meant for evil, God intended for good. They felt the warmth of his embrace and his tears washed away their fears. What a magnificent picture of the love of Christ to us ward! When we repent and confess our sins, He’s faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Here the brothers found, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment…” (1 John‬ ‭4:18‬). No sin is too much for Christ to forgive and no hurt too deep for Him to heal. Amen
