Prayer Letter from Alice

Hello Everyone,

I trust that you are well today.

I have mentioned the need to Pray for awaited results of Medical Tests, they are in and all is well. Hallelujah. The “Patient” is truly grateful for everyone’s Prayers. Thank you. We still await decisions on Luke’s Tests, continue to Pray please.

Thank you for your responses to last Week’s Prayer Letter, many replies came through.

Because of the responses I have chosen to stay in that area today.

                                                   “Resting in Him”

My thoughts include a verse that was sent to me from an Officer from a Force that does not receive the Prayer Letter.

At this time, he is at home; unable to work due to PTSD. When I read the verse, I realised how precious it was for him and knew I had to share it with you, as I will, before I end this Letter.

Those of you who have been receiving the PL over these last 12 years will know that one of my favourite verses is from  Psalm 46 verse 10:

“Be still and know that I am God”

This was the verse my Husband spoke on; on the last Sunday he attended Church before he went to be with His Heavenly Father 11 years ago.

He took himself off during the Worship down the aisle, I had no idea he was going to do that. He stood at the front and he shouted out the verse. It was as though he was encouraging an Army to go forth to war, not one of bringing Peace. He truly was commanding everyone to know; that God wanted them “To be still”.

A month later he was no longer with us. In hindsight, I believe he knew his time was short.

Every card/letter of sympathy I received from those who were in Church that morning, referred to him speaking. The verse and what he said was specific to each one of them.

Just as those words were meant for many individuals in Church that day, I believe they are for you personally today as you read this PL.

And below, as promised, a verse from one of your Christian Colleagues in another Force in the UK. It is applicable to last week’s PL and today’s: Psalm 91 verses 1-2:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust”.

May you know His Everlasting Arms holding you.

God Bless

In Him
