Prayer Letter from Alice

Hello Everyone,

I recall as I sit here putting together this PL, how weird everything felt this time last week. But now – so much has moved on in our lives.

Both the Chief and my CPA Bosses have recommended that I no longer undertake my visits as a Chaplain and to stay well away from Police Buildings. I will keep in contact with people remotely.

Please be assured of my continuing Prayers for you.

Massive thanks for all that you are and undertaking at this time. Truly appreciate you all.

As you receive this PL it will be the 20th of the month. “Hope UK” encourages us to Pray at 20.20 hours this evening. I look forward to joining you in this.

I received the following a few days ago.

Hello Grandma,

Hope you are well amidst the chaos and drama of the corona virus stuff.

Was praying recently and was reminded of Psalm 46 where it says.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her; she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.”

In this time where there is mass panic and fear around the world this Psalm reminded me that we don’t need to fear because God is on our side.

Praying for you.

Lots of Love,

I knew when I read the above from my Grandson; who is studying in a C of E Church in Oxford, that his writings were to be the Bible Slot for this week.

The end of the same Psalm says –

Be still and know that I am God”

In His Name and with His love.
