Prayer Letter from Alice

Hello Everyone,

I trust you are well.

The 20th February is next week. Again, I am encouraging you as far as is possible; with many other people –

  • To spend 20 minutes in Prayer at 20.20 hours on that day. Praying for your immediate Family, Friends and Colleagues, to come to the Lord.
  • And specifically, for yourselves, Prayer for wisdom as to how to lead a balanced life.

Many of you will know that I am a Chaplain in Surrey Police. A massive privilege.

Last November; our Force Chaplain left us to train as a Vicar. At the time I was his Deputy. At the moment I am standing in his shoes. My CPA Colleagues are a great support to me.

A few days ago, one of the Chaplains sent me an email, “My Access Badge is not allowing me into my Station – Help!”.

I know as Officers and Staff you really prize your access badges as do we, the Chaplains. I am challenged on occasions as I follow someone else through a door, usually with a smile. I then make myself known and show my badge. I too am expected to challenge and I do.

As I began to sort this problem for my Co Chaplain, the words “Denied Access” came to mind. Immediately followed by. “Come as you are”, words that are often said in our Church.  God does not deny anyone access to His Throne of Grace.  Hallelujah!

Probably the most famous verse in the Bible John 3:16 says.

  • For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

It is there we read “God loved the world”, not just a special group of people.

May you know in these coming days that you are welcome; no matter where you are, or how you feel; to come before His Throne of Grace.

                                      Accepted in Christ, today.

Many Blessings
