Hello Everyone,
I recall as a very young child in Sunday School, hearing the name “Barrabas”. Immediately I took a dislike to that name. I guess I didn’t like the sound of it. He was notorious. Not only a murderer but most likely a Leader of Gangs causing many deaths.
This last week, Barrabas has crossed my path again. And yes – again I have to admit – at my age, I am still learning about The Lord from His Word.
I have realised for the first time that Barrabas was an actual example of why Jesus died. The crowds demanded that Jesus die “Instead” of Barrabas. And that is exactly what Jesus did for you and I.
“For God sent His Only Begotten Son into the world, so that everyone who believes on His Name should not perish but have everlasting life”.
Thank You Father for John 3.16.
May we all live in the knowledge of Our Value in the Eyes of Our Heavenly Father this coming week.
