Prayer Letter from Alice

Hello Everyone,

I am often asked when on a Chaplaincy visit, “Are you well?”. I always say “Yes” but this week I had an added reason. I have been a Blood Donor for many years. I had news early last week that my recently donated blood had been sent to Whipps Cross Hospital in London in the form of Platelets for three people suffering from Cancer.  That so gives me joy that I can support such people. And in turn shows me that I am well. Because of the Blood Group and make up of my blood it is always given for the treatment of Cancer. Another Chaplain I know in Lincoln; her blood always goes to prem babies.

“We are fearfully and wonderfully made” Psalm 139.14

and God gives knowledge to those in the Medical World as to how to work out the make-up of our blood and how it can be used in this way.

However – we are all covered with the “same” Blood shed for us by our Lord and Saviour.

No matter who we are, what we have done – it is all encompassing. Thank You Jesus.

See from His Head, His Hands, His Feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

(When I survey the Wonderous Cross – Isaac Watts 1707)

May you know the ongoing Sacrifice made by Our Lord during these coming days.  Amen

In His Grip.

Together in Christ
