Prayer Letter from Alice

Hello Everyone,

It was good to hear how last week’s PL spoke to you –

“I was feeling a bit overwhelmed when I received your last Prayer Letter, so the words you sent resonated with me”.

“I loved your standby plan for your Prayer Meeting with Insp Bert Dean. It was very helpful – I have sent it to my Prayer Partners – thank you!”

So today, I am encouraged to share the second verse with you from the Chorus “Father I place into your hands” Jenny Hewer:

Father, I place into Your hands
My friends and family.
Father, I place into Your hands
The things that trouble me.
Father, I place into Your hands
The person I would be,
For I know I always can trust You.

Early this morning I received an email from one of my Church Elders. In it he wrote the following –

I love the way you sign off your emails, ‘…in His grip’. It reminds me of a Vicar who came up to me as a young Christian, took hold of my shoulders with both his hands and used his own paraphrase of Philippians 3 as he looked me in the eye to say –

‘Jesus has grasped hold of you, now you, grasp hold of Jesus!’

Those words have been with me ever since!

May you know His Unfailing Grip on you as you hand to Him those things in your life that trouble you right now. I Alice, am doing this with you.

His Love and In His Grip
