When Covid hit us in 2020, our Church Leadership said we would meet every weekday morning for Prayer. 8.15am to 9am on Zoom. These Prayer times lasted until the Lockdowns ended – but a number of us wanted to continue to meet at least once a week. We do so and Tuesday of this week we met again.
I had the privilege of leading the Meeting. I asked Insp Bert Dean, Borough Commander in Elmbridge to join us, to share what it is to be a Christian Police Officer and to give us Prayer points.
He was very warmly welcomed and I have received thank you messages.
I want to leave with you one point Bert made – “As a Christian in Leadership in both my Church as an Elder and also as a Police Inspector, in Surrey Police; I am still the same person, I am God’s Child. I want others to know about Him and His Love for them as well”.
Be God’s Child just where He has placed you within The Met Police.
Make me a channel of your peace

Where there is darkness only light
And where there’s sadness ever joy – John Coen
