Prayer Letter from Alice

Hello Everyone,

We are moving from the shock of the news of this last week through to this coming Monday when we will see the State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.

Again, an unusual week in our lives, so I am leaving the following with you.

I know just how much I rely on my own faith to guide me through the good times and the bad. Each day is a new beginning. I know that the only way to live my life is to try to do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day brings, and to put my trust in God.” Elizabeth II, 21st April 1926 – 8th September 2022

I am sure there is no need to ask you to Pray for all the happenings running up to and into Monday next week in the area of security. You will be totally aware of the concerns. Some of you may have been asked to leave your force area to work alongside your Colleagues in London. Thank You.

One specific Prayer I do want to share. As of last Monday 12th September, both former Chief’s of Surrey, Sir Mark Rowley and Dame Lynne Owens have taken up their positions as Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of the Met. They knew when they were appointed, they were moving into a difficult situation. The Death of Her Majesty was not a major calculation when this appointment was announced a short while ago. Prayers for both of them please.

I have shared with Lynne, knowing she has a strong Faith, Esther 4.14:

“You Lynne, are here for such a time as this”.

Remain in His Grip. Alice
