I trust you are well.
Today I have spent some time in our local Police Station on Chaplaincy Duty. Such a privilege.
- Numbers of people coming to the front desk with all manner of problems.
- In depth work going on in the Major Crime Department, Collisions and the Complex Abuse Department.
- This was the case as I made my way around the whole of the building.
I so admire the tenacity to get the work done, to follow everything up and to see things through to completion.
As I have done in the past, I want to say most sincerely a “Very Big Thank You” to all of you.
I have been very aware over this last weekend of the Police Memorial Service that took place in Cardiff. I know St David’s Hall well, being a musician and having visited on a number of occasions whilst growing up in Wales.
So today I am homing in on our gratitude for all those Officers who are no longer with us, their families, friends and Colleagues, still affected by their deaths.
However, here we are today and you press on as ever.
I saw the following verses in our Church Office this week, I am sharing them with you. I too want to be active in this and encouraging you as you work alongside your Colleagues – they may not be Christians, but…………
“Encourage one another and build each other up” 1Thess 5.11 and
“Let us consider how we can spur one another on to love and good deeds” Heb: 10. 24
