Prayer Guide – “Send Workers” Friday 13th February 2015
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the Harvest, therefore, to send workers into His harvest field.” Matthew 9:38 / Luke10:2
‘Prayer is the Master’s key’
- Pray for a hunger in the Church to humble ourselves and pray (2 Chronicles 7:14)
- Pray that we would grasp the significance of prayer (James 5:16)
- Ask God to stir His people to pray at all times and in all places (1 Thess 5:17, Eph 6:18)
‘Thy Kingdom Come, Thy will be done’
- Pray that the Church will rise up to be Kingdom builders
- Pray that the Church will catch the urgency of interceding for the lost
- Ask the Lord of the Harvest to teach His workers how to harvest effectively
‘He had compassion on them’
- Ask God to give us His love for one another
- Pray for our hearts to be broken by what breaks our Father’s heart
- Pray for boldness amongst believers to share the ‘Good News’ of Jesus
‘I will Build My Church’
- Ask God to pour out His Spirit on all men and women in these days
- Pray for relationships to be built across denominations and cultures for His glory
- Praise Him for being a faithful God, slow to anger and abounding in love.
