Perhaps like me you are “On Line” for your Church Services and Prayer Times.
The person who led one of our Prayer Meetings last week shared the following Psalm with us.
Although there are many theories as to why David wrote Psalm 13, it is generally thought to have been written, because David, like us often asks God questions; I know that I do. Perhaps the most used phrase in my questions is “Have you noticed Lord what is happening in this situation?” I immediately ask for forgiveness…
We can see in the Psalm below; that David was in despair, but… eventually he writes verses 5 and 6.
Psalm 13 A Psalm of David.
1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.
We were encouraged to start our Prayers during that Prayer Meeting with “How long Lord…”
I leave that suggestion with you as you battle at this time.
I sincerely “Thank You” so much for what you are handling.
My love and concern for you all in His Name.
