Prayer Request

October 26, 2017 by Samantha Alexander

Don’t forget Gods Promises 2 You; What Are You Reading??This Week??2017:The Year Of Difference:Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV

Last night I received some wonderful, unexpected direct mail via Twitter, encouraging me that my friend Paul had been & is, praying for me & my family. One of them had recently been ill. I am always blessed when I know the ‘wall of prayer’ envelopes & surrounds me & my family like a cloak. It is for me, the best armoury I could ask for. Just like when Joshua went in to battle and the children of Israel were instructed to march around the wall 7 times but on the 7th time they shouted with an almighty shout & blew their trumpets & the walls of Jericho came tumbling down like dominoes! What an army, they were all on one accord in obedience to the instruction of God.

So I went to bed blessed, encouraged, listening to the wonderful teaching about obedience from the Book of Samuel on UCBIreland “obey is better than sacrifice..” I was prayed up & comforted but before long I was under siege. I was awoke by a nudge in the Holy Spirit, “get up and call your son” I heard the voice clearly say this & I immediately got up, went to the toilet (not fully obedient right!??) but I called my son from the bathroom & was told he was in hospital after becoming ill suddenly. He had told me earlier in the day he thought he was ‘getting a cold’ & I gave him home remedies to try. I did not think anything of it but sent him on his way with my love & blessings

Wham!!! the enemy side stepped me and tried to punch me in the ribs because my son is away at University & being told he had become so ill he was taken to hospital, was concerning to say the least- what is it about ‘that’ middle of the night call??!! It’s because the enemy wants you off guard & everything feels more difficult & longer when things happen in the night! This could have been a different phone call altogether BUT  the battle cry had already sounded! The wall of prayer trumpeted around my son & up to Glory. It had already covered my child under the protective arm of God, with prayer from his parents, his family, his brethren, our friends (remember Paul’s message to me earlier…) God was letting me know “..there are more on our side than on the enemy’s”. As my son was put on the phone by His friend, I prayed over him & them too, giving God thanks for His mercy and for my son’s healing ahead of time & I encouraged my son to give God thanks too. I thank God for the help He placed around my son as one of his friends saw he was becoming ill and they took him to the hospital. Wisdom.  God gives His Angels charge over us – fact! He promised “never will He leave or forsake us” & we must be encouraged by this & not forget His promises to us. We may leave or forsake Him but it’s never the other way around, so do not ever believe the lies of that old rogue Satan, the adversary, the lion, roaring his ugly head because the battle is already won, hallelujah! I told my son “mummy & daddy are coming to get you but God is already with you” & to keep reminding himself of this.

And so the journey continues, another battle another storm but the ending is the same, God will fight for us if we trust Him. He puts angels around us & He gives us His Holy Spirit as our Guard & prayer is our shield. When Jesus said “pray without ceasing” & “men (& women) always ought to pray”, there is a reason. It is because our enemy is relentless, so be on your guard & stay prayed up in the Holy Spirit because instead of despair, we have hope. The task of rearranging things for home & work, doing the journey & navigating motorways to get to my son, didn’t fill me with joy but knowing I’ll be able to hug him did! Reinforcements come from The Angel of the Host when you sound the alarm, weep for help & blow trumpet of the battle cry of prayer! Never believe that your prayer goes unnoticed or it goes nowhere, God is working behind the scenes, He knows what direction the attack is coming from. We don’t. He has already released the Warrior Angels to do battle for us. He has already acted on those prayer requests that went up to Him “as a sweet smelling savour”, the many cries of intercession on our behalf.

Do not think it strange when the attack arrives, these are the fiery trials that Jesus spoke to us about. Do not be anxious unnecessarily. These are the trials which come against us but let me tell you, we are “overcomers” because Jesus overcame the world for us! God is good ALL the time! Thank you in advance for your continued prayers, especially for my son & family ??

“Have your prayers been met with a silent sky? Have you prayed and heard nothing? If so, don’t give up! Are you floundering in the land between an offered and an answered prayer?

What the angel said to Daniel, God says to you: “Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard” (Daniel 10:12 NIV). You have been heard in heaven. Reinforcements have been rallied. God promises in Isaiah 49:25, “I will contend with him who contends with you.” Do what Daniel did, and remain before the Lord.

The Scripture promises, “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not be weary,
They will walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

“He God has put his angels in charge of you to watch over you wherever you go” (Psalm 91:11 NCV).

Excerpts By Max Lucado “Anxious For Nothing”

May God richly bless you & your family as we pray one for another in Jesus name. God is in control, He has the final word!

Prayers 4 Victims of Parsons Green Attack???2017:The Year Of Difference:Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”1 Peter 5:8

On Friday 15th September 2016 on what was a normal morning for most, a terrorist attacked London again, injuring up to 30 people. This time it was in the area of Parsons Green. From the Scripture quoted above the enemy is prowling. Relentless. Cruel. Roaring. We in England have experienced a wickedness off the scale of proportional levels. The Victims of this senseless attack, their families, their friends & the excellent Emergency Services are in a position again, to have to deal with the mindset of the enemy’s prowling. His hatred. Join us in praying for the Victims, real fervent prayer as if it were you & or as the persistent widow who beseeched God in the infamous Bible Parable; and for all of those affected by this attack including ourselves because there but for Gods grace was it not you or I in that carriage, on that tube or on the concourse on Friday, or the previous terrorist attacks. We have a very real enemy acting through people to harm innocent others. He does not stop his attacking. He has no respect for the beauty of life. We must stay alert physically & more so, spiritually. We must stay prayed up & we need to stay in the arms of our Saviour. Why? Because this is the only true place of safety.

Please continue to pray for the Victims from Parsons Green; pray for the Government that the correct & wise decisions are made peacefully, in dealing with England under such terrorist attacks. Lastly, please pray too, for our Emergency & Security Services for the outstanding but unassuming work they continuously do, often times with no thanks, God bless them all. Continue to pray for Gods love & peace??

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. Psalms 46:1

Prayers 4 Texas & The Caribbean?2017:The Year Of Difference:Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”  Mark 8:36 KJV

Father Jesus, please send Your peace in a time of fierce storms; both physical, natural & emotional. Send Your calm in the midst of a world tossed by turmoil & devastation. Thank you for being the hope & love we need but struggle to find in this broken world. Send help to your children suffering in these blighted areas around the world. Your Light shines in this darkness & the darkness cannot  comprehend it. Rescue the perishing & teach us daily how to care for the dying. Thank You Jesus, in Your name we pray, amen ??

News flash! This world is not our home! This temporal world will pass away but the Kingdom of God shall never end. We store things up like the man in the parable who stored things up in his barn but they rotted away. This world has to come to an end but it’s not the ending of it which we must consider, it is the living right whilst we are in it which matters because none of us know the time or place when our time on this earth will come to a close. What shall it profit us then to gain all of the temporal niceties of this life but miss the picture, and lose our souls? It is our souls & the resting place of it, that matters. What if all we did fed our ‘wants’ but bypassed the need for us to find Salvation in Jesus Christ? Our Spiritual need? What if we work hard to please man but not God, the very Creator of this earth & Heaven, of course?  God has given us time to come to Him, return to Him or come to know Him but will we accept His invitation? For this time, this dispensation of grace is rapidly coming to a close. Mass flooding in Sierra Leone, Hurricane Harvey in Texas & moving down to Louisiana, flooding in India & now the Category 5 Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean, which is heading towards Florida but Weather specialists cannot say for certain that it will not deviate anywhere else, destroying areas as it travels. The worst hurricane to hit the Atlantic since records began, according to reports today. The loss of life & devastation from it, opens our eyes even more, to the closing of this age- this time space is ending and then, God said, comes the judgement. One thing is for certain,  Jesus the only One who can calm the storm, is returning.

We who trust in our Father Jesus Christ & are saved, have a blessed hope which is to live & reign with Him for eternity but what about now? What are we doing to celebrate the Christ in us & let His light shine through us? Are we living right? Are sharing the Gospel, the only good of Salvation? Are we helping those victims of these very disasters, life’s natural or emotional storms, or simply commenting on how ‘sad’ it is then moving on to the next news bulletin; the next story or the next issue? Today, the people of the physical storm needs us. We are the hands & feet of Jesus Christ, His word will stand & what He has commanded us to do, whether we like it or not, believe it or not, or do it or not.

Praying always, please remember the people affected by #Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean*

I am currently reading Max Lucado’s ‘In the Eye of The Storm’ & I would like to share with you how the floods have affected the USA (and us here, in many ways too);

“Sunday morning was already odd. Rather than stand before the church to speak, I sat in front of the television and watched the news.

As far as I know, this was the first time we’d ever cancelled all services on all campuses. It was not an easy decision. With city officials urging everyone to stay home and off the streets because of Hurricane Harvey, however, I believe it was the correct one. So I found myself with a lazy Sunday morning. (Ok, I confess, the extra sleep was nice.)

But then came the news reports. Image after image from Rockport. Story after story from Houston. The devastation was breathtaking and ongoing. Like many of you, I sat glued to the television screen, toggling back and forth between CNN, FOX, and the Weather Channel. I heard the phrase “once in a thousand year flood”. I received texts like: “We are safe, but our neighbors aren’t.” And who will ever forget the images of citizens heeding the call to steer their shallow-bottomed boats through neighborhoods on rescue missions.

Stunning. If only it were a movie. But it isn’t. It is history.

So what do we do?

First and foremost, we pray. We pray for God to redirect the storm and alleviate the suffering.

Next, we help. At this initial stage, the biggest need besides prayer is for financial donations to organizations providing disaster relief.

We recommend donating directly to Samaritan’s Purse or to The American Red Cross, online at:

Help Hurricane Harvey Victims in Texas

https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harvey

Not only do we pray and help, I think we need to learn. What spiritual lessons do these moments teach us?

Jesus criticized the leaders of his day for focusing on the weather and ignoring the signals: “You find it easy enough to forecast the weather—why can’t you read the signs of the times?” (Matthew 16:3 MSG).

What are we to learn from all of this? Is God sending us some reminders? I think so. At least three come to mind:

Lesson #1- Stuff doesn’t last. Relationships do.
As you’ve listened to evacuees and survivors, have you noticed their words? No one laments a lost plasma television or submerged SUV. No one runs through the streets yelling, “My cordless drill is missing” or “My golf clubs have washed away.” If they mourn, it is for people lost. If they rejoice, it is for people found.

Could Jesus be reminding us that people matter more than possessions? In a land where we have more malls than high schools, more debt than credit, more clothes to wear than we can wear, could Christ be saying:

“Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions” (Luke 12:15 NIV).

You see demolished $40,000 cars that will never be driven again, hidden in debris. And in the background of our minds we hear the quiet echoes of Jesus saying, “What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” (Matthew 16:26 NIV).

Raging hurricanes and swollen bayous have a way of prying our fingers off the stuff we love. What was once most precious now means little; what we once ignored is now of eternal significance.

Think about what matters to you.

Lesson #2: We really are in this together.
We saw, and are seeing, how humanity can come together and help each other. Lifeboats did not discriminate by color of skin. Rescuers did not ask if the needy were Republican or Democrat. Helicopter rescue wasn’t offered only to the rich or educated. People came together to help people.

We don’t have to have a Harvey to prompt us to help others, however. Someone in your office could use your assistance. They aren’t stranded on a rooftop, but they are likely struggling with a decision. Someone in your neighborhood could use a friend. They didn’t lose their house, but, perhaps they lost their way.

Let’s let Harvey remind us: we really are in this together.

Lesson #3: This world doesn’t work but the next one will.
“The whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time” (Romans 8:19-22 NIV).

The creation is third trimester heavy. Birth pangs must occur before a new birth. During the birth pangs the mother keeps focused on the end result: the moment that she will hold her beautiful baby in her arms. She knows that birth pangs don’t last forever; indeed, the more intense the pangs, the nearer the delivery.

Our world is experiencing a rash of birth pangs these days. It is not to me to declare the day the Lord will return. But we know this much: it’s the beginning of the end and the beginning of new beginnings. Calamities and catastrophes must occur before the birth of the new world. In the meantime- practice what they teach in Lamaze classes- take some deep breaths and hold the hand of the one who loves you.

Jesus made this point in one of his final messages. He referred to the increased frequency of disasters and then said: “See to it that you are not alarmed” (Matthew 24:6 NIV). Jesus chose a stout term for “alarmed” that he used on no other occasion. It means, “to wail, to cry aloud” as if Jesus counseled the disciple: “Don’t freak out when bad stuff happens.”

Jesus promised that bad things would occur. But they won’t occur forever.

What rescuers are doing for Houstonians, God will do for you. He has entered your world. He has dropped a rope into your sin-swamped life. He will rescue, you simply need to do what many stranded people are doing–let him lift you out.

Listen to the lessons of Harvey. Let the storm remind you of the value of relationships, people and, most of all, the promise of heaven. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, I attended a prayer service at a downtown church. A local minister gave a message on this verse: “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” (Genesis 6:8 NKJV).

The minister helped us see all the things Noah could not find because of the flood. He could not find his neighborhood. He could not find his house. He could not find the comforts of home or the people down the street–there was much he could not find. But what he could find made all the difference. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah found grace in the eyes of God. If you have everything and no grace, you have nothing. If you have nothing but grace, you have everything..” By Max Lucado August 2017

**Praying always, please remember the people affected by Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean & please donate to the Red Cross or your local Churches & send donations to those in real, dire need #’Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy”, God richly bless you?

This Prayer was sent to me yesterday by Stacey from Herts Police Constabulary, it not only blessed me but it encouraged me to take a moment with Jesus & to continue to be strong, whilst wading through the craziness & at times, heaviness of my day. Be blessed readers & really search the words of this prayer, I know there will be something in it to uplift you;  it really helped me get through my day. May God always be praised;

*A Prayer for Peace*
Oh Lord, sometimes my insides feel like a battle zone, where missiles are falling too close to home. Other times I’m caught in an endless storm, with thoughts flying out of control. Confusion reigns, and defeat creeps in to steal my joy. I need your peace—the deep-down-in-your-heart kind that stays with me day and night and speaks confidently into the wind. Calm my anxious spirit, Lord; all the attacking “if-onlys” and “what-ifs” fill me with needless worry.

I know that trust is a big part of experiencing peace and that fear has no place in my life. Most of the things I worry about or dread don’t even happen. So I’m declaring my trust in you. I’m releasing the reins of my life again and asking you to take control. I may need to pray this same prayer daily, but I’m tired of the frenzy of life that leaves my schedule and my thoughts without any margin. I need more of you, Lord, and less of me.
I surrender and admit: I can’t control people, plans, or even all my circumstances, but I can yield those things to you, and focus on your goodness. Thank you today for every good gift you’ve given, every blessing you’ve sent, all the forgiveness I did not deserve, and, yes, for every trial you’ve allowed into my life. You bring good out of every circumstance if I’ll only let go and believe you. I know that when I pray and give thanks instead of worrying, you have promised that I can experience the kind of peace that passes all understanding. That’s your kind of peace, Lord. And it’s the kind I crave.

Whenever I’m stressed, anxious, or afraid, help me remember to run to you. You’re the only one that can calm my fears and end my fretful behavior. Whether in trivial or heavy matters, I know you will not only give me peace; Lord, you will be my peace. And when I draw close to you—in prayer, in reading your Word, in helping another, in taking my mind off myself—you will be there, up close and personal.
I can’t handle these times alone, Lord. Will you speak peace and calm my storms, or hold my hand while we walk through them together? Will you bring the reassuring wisdom of those who have come through similar times into my life? Thank you, Lord. I’m trusting you.

In the name of the One who makes the wind and the waves stand still, Jesus Christ our Lord & Saviour, Amen.”

West London In Mourning;Grenfell Tower??The Year Of Difference:Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 KJV

For the last two weeks I have not written anything in our Forum because I been evaluating what we do & our purpose & calling here. This is most definitely orchestrated by God- divine appointment. I began to evaluate the events of Manchester, London & atrocities around the world. Silent.  Waiting. Listening. “Without a vision Your people perish”. If we as Gods children do not hear His Word, then we can expect the world around us to break down.  In all of the craziness & chaos in this life, in one day even, we must stop, be still & hear from God.  Another trauma has hit the people of London, Your children too. Now the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower, West London How much more Lord? It is so much to bare. Your children are suffering & we are under enormous attack from the enemy. In my silence I having been enquiring, ‘What does The Lord want to say through us to His children?’ How does He want us to comfort them?  To encourage them & build them up, to hold them supportively or to be still as we await the charge of deliverance through the Holy Spirit & the Angel of The Lord to come to us; for we are not immune from the pain & suffering too. Terror, evil & destruction is prevalent around the world & indeed, the UK has been pierced in the heart by the terror attacks She has suffered. Three in three months. I began to survey the mountains of conversations which have taken place since the attacks & the prevailing question by almost  everyone has been “why?” Hosea 4:6″ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:” why? Because we do not seek God. I began to seek, deeper in prayer. I awoke today & the words “faith” was placed in my spirit along with “no greater love The Father has for you that He gave His life for you”. I was lifted  & too, by the melody of “His eye is on the Sparrow” sounding in my head. God sings over us too “The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing
.”Zephaniah 3:17 God is gently reminding us to have faith in Him alone

From a young age since coming to know Jesus Christ, my late Parents taught us, my siblings & I, to “trust God but know Him for yourself” & as I grew in age, physically & spiritually, so did my relationship with My Father, Jesus Christ, especially in the ‘valley seasons’; getting to know who He is; as well as witnessing how He delivered (& still does). He healed a baby my Parents fostered (my little sister); her life expectancy at best, was five years. I never asked “why God”? It has been more like “how long?” if I’m really honest! Inpatient. Lack of faith. Something I ask God to release me of. The one out three things we as people ‘do’- when it comes to God. Blame Him. Doubt Him. Impatience with Him.

My sister was born chronically ill & the doctors prepared my Parents, who then prepared us; that she may not be with us for a long time because her condition was life threatening but we had to learn all of the complexities of her care & feeding regime, as well as ‘what to do’ should an emergency happen. We had a mountain of “whys?” “It’s so cruel & unfair” & “how could this be?” Baby sister was tube-fed & this in itself, had enormous risks to her tiny body. “Why Lord?” Every aspect of her life was under medical care & scrutiny to minimise the danger the condition had on her. She really was immensely small but what a mighty bundle of joy! My Parents had faith & if it could be said, my Mother had more than enough faith for our entire household! The road ahead looked ridiculously hard but one my Parents gladly accepted. “God has chosen us for this season” Mum said, one day after we had taken turns in cleaning up the umpteenth projectile feed baby sis’s body rejected. Being one of 8 children & having a plethora of ‘foster’-siblings, I grew up witnessing my Mum never concerning herself with “why?” Along with my Dad, they daily observed how to intricately care for my sister over a period of time at the specialist Children’s Hospital then each week, one of us went along with Mummy to learn too, in preparation for ‘baby’s homecoming’! We were not allowed to provide that care but She wanted us all to know what caring, feeding & supporting such a sick, high-risk child involved. Love. My baby sister was treated exactly as my Parent’s biological children. When the doctor said she ‘would be medicated for the remainder of her life’; ‘her major organs were affected; including her hearing & vision’; she would ‘never be spoon-fed or take food orally’, my Mum inwardly rejected that. She said simply told the doctor “thank you” & observed. I remember overhearing my Parents speaking & my Dad said, “one day he will meet God?” I had no idea until years later what that statement meant. They were speaking about that doctor. About that lack of faith. About Him meeeting Jesus, that was there prayer. As yet the doctor didn’t have the vision of healing for our baby sister. 7 months later – earlier than medically time-tabled, baby sis had her homecoming party! We were excited! We were terrified! We cried with joy! Quickly turning to annoyance when she kept crying & being sick! We had No faith or patience! We memorised the ‘Emergency Protocol’ & waited for the emergency services to arrive but some how, they never came. Every day my Mum fed our baby sis at the exact time that we ate. Feeding tube or not. She sat at the extended, hand-made, 16 seater dinner table, with us all. 7 months became a year. At 15 months I distinctly recall my baby sister taking a spoon and putting it in her mouth. The sensation made her gag! We all panicked but Mummy stood calmly observing- “Why aren’t you taking it from her Mum?” “Have faith in God” she replied. My sister put that spoon in her mouth continuously until it no longer made her gag. Courage, curious, persistent & hopeful! Child-like faith that she would do it! Then she began to try & take food from the plates on the table either side of her. By 18 months old, my sister was eating orally, small pieces of a very specific diet & the doctors were baffled! How? “This” they told my Parents, “should not happen toachild with her condition” but it was! She walked when she should not have as the muscles in her leg were not strong enough. But, she was walking!  At first, ‘calf-like’ then ‘John Wayne-like’ BUT THEN strong as we all did! Doctors said ‘this shouldn’t happen’ but it was! She spoke when the Speech & Language Specialists said ‘she would struggle to form words properly due to the cognitive function in her brain being affected by this condition’ BUT  you couldn’t stop her singing & talking!  Surpassing doctors expectations, baby sis attended mainstream nursery; then mainstream school, despite a place being made at a specialist one for children with disabilities by Social Services. Do you realise baby sister was now 5? She was alive? Still here #faith!

Instead of growing weaker, she thrived. Instead of giving up when her body began attacking itself, she fought and surrounding her at all times, was a wall of resounding unequivocal faith & prayer. As we witnessed hope after hope, miracle after miracle; we had no option but to take God at the very Word He spoke to Moses “I AM“. In this process of watching my sister grow, get sick & recover- I realised more how hope & faith were the tools which were implemented in the & out, of the valley season. When many people questioned  “why did your Parents take such a difficult & so very different child, than the ones they “normally foster?”; when they said “why isn’t God healing her?” after innumerable hospital admissions,  when they stopped visiting because of ‘how many times in an hour baby sis could vomit’, love, hope & faith stood firm. My baby sister finished Secondary school, surpassing ALL medical & social expectations, gaining her GCSEs & then went onto to study at College, qualifying in her desired field! Her doctors are still using her case with their new medical student doctors at one of Britain’s Leading Children’s Hospital. One calls her the “faith child” because my Parent’s hashtag was “by faith she will make it”, their staple diet based on the “Promises of God, they are sure if we believe”. Their food was the word of God, as when doctors was a hestitant smile of ‘reality’.

Today, my baby sister is a wonderful, determined, 27 year old Mother of a healthy 7 year old. Another miracle in itself. Almost dying during pregnancy & post birth. A child who was NOT supposed to live past five years old, based on ‘medical fact’, is today alive & well. Though she faced much life threatening adversities, she refused to not fight. She has remnants of the condition which she must still, as an adult adhere to but “Gods grace is sufficient to keep her” & has been through  everything. He will keep you too. My baby sister is the vision God purposed for her life. She is the product of the promises of God. She is the complete ‘hope & faith’ my Parents placed in God. Without faith they couldn’t please God. They trusted Him implicitly. Baby sister’s life was mapped out differently to the one doctors had for her. To everyone facing a storm & who questioned  “why?” at the hands of destruction in their life, to the Victims & their families from the Manchester & London attacks because of the evils of terrorism & the utter disregard for the sanctity of life more recently; to the Victims in despair, sorrow & rage at the Grenfell Towerblock fire, I want to encourage you about continuing in hope. If you don’t know how or you think “what’s the point?”, I want to encourage you that you have a God-given purpose & a promise ordained for your life, just let go & say ‘I need help’. God will come with healing in His wings. He promised to send us help from His Sanctuary. David said The Lord hear me in my day of trouble & the name of the God of Jacob defend me” God will defend you even in the prison of the situation.  You can make it by faith, despite the devastation you are facing. With the walls of prayer & love surrounding you, you can survive because God has a plan for you. Out of ‘a barren situation & a valley of dry bones’, you will live again. Why do we believe God when the world seems ‘upside down’? Because we have to have hope. This hope is not carnal. It is not man-made. It is God-sent. It is God-given. It has no expiry date. It is infinite. We walk in the faith, which is this hope Christ Jesus has given us. Of themselves my Parents would have said “8 children & 5 foster-children, a chronically sick baby with a short life expectancy was something inconceivable for us to take on” but faith spoke. Of themselves when my baby sister’s liver was failing they would have given up. Of themselves when the doctors said her brain was not growing the fear to turn away would have overtaken them. Of themselves when we as teenage children said “we seem always to be at the hospital more than home..we’ve been here so long today”, they could have panicked because of our impatience. But they never, ever wavered in their faith in God & love for our baby sister! The didn’t just say “we have faith she will get well” but they demonstrated it through the steps they took & God Himself acted on their faith in Him. There is something about ‘good‘ coming out of a ‘darkened’ situation. Like Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his own brothers but God turned His disappointment into something miraculous & marvellous & made him a Ruler in Eygpt. Love & compassion & unity has poured out of the kindest people not only of Manchester & London but the surrounding Cities, neighbourhoods & communities by spectacularly & selflessly coming together. God has turned this heartache into something beautiful, the enormous outpouring of love cannot be put into words. Communities have been serving those in need. It is The Light of God. Stare down the barrel of that tunnel which today may look dark & bleak & envisage a chink of Light. You may not see it but I am asking you to now take a tiny leap of faith into Gods hope for your life; “faith without works is dead” try it please. We have to put a tiny ‘mustard seed’ of faith in & we will reap the bountiful harvest after, even if we have to wait because God will bring us out with a song. What is the alternative? It is the “why?” Though always good to question things, do not stay stuck in “why?” To every question we have,  Jesus has the answer for us. The alternative is to blame. Blaming instead of living, turns to anger instead of healing. The alternative is to live in doubt. Doubt instead of trusting God. Wavering & becoming unstable leading to all forms of unhappiness. It causes fear & irrational reactions. The alternative is to be impatient (as I too have struggled with) causing us to take the longest journey of our lives looking for answers in the wrong place when all along, the answer IS Jesus Christ. Impatience makes us hastily react, instead of waiting, standing & embracing the “fruit of the Spirit” & the promises in Gods word that “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  By placing our faith in God, Our “Why?” will become “How did I ?…” & we will be able to finish it with “How did I make it without Jesus?” I am a testimony to this. In my enquiry in prayer, God reminded me of Who He is; What He has done, not only my life but the lives of those around me & ‘Why’ He does it because of His matchless love for us. I see a life not worth living without Jesus, in fact, I often ask myself “how” do people make it in this world without God. Hold onto Him, I can testify that good will come from the brokenness we face because God turns “our mourning into dancing” & He gives us “beauty for ashes” We are conquers through Jesus who loved us. One song writer sang “Living by faith, in Jesus above, trusting confiding in His great love;  from all harms, safe in His sheltering arms, I’m living by faith & I feel no alarm”  I am increasingly understanding the depth & beauty the author found in trusting God & sheltering by faith, ‘under the shadow, the protection of The Almighty’. No matter what comes, we must not live in fear or the enemy wins then & he has already been defeated from the beginning. Jealous & trying to tear us down, he comes at us incessantly, persistently & full of evil. Like all the problems Britain has recently experienced-the enemy is the reason “why?” but Jesus IS the answer & above Him, there is no other. So I invite you, put all of it, the little strength you have left, the doubt, the hurt, the blame & impatience, our sorrow in God, sow it in Him by faith, because it’s the best investment you will ever make. I, like you, did when my family suffered the trauma of losing our brother. The brokenness when he died suddenly, no full explanation “why” but God knows it all. He rose us up out of the ashes. He made us smile again & gave us HIS strength we had none. That faith in His promise of deliverance & to live with Him in eternity, is sure to them who believe Him. You will not have hoped in vain. Jesus tells us so awesomely, take no worry for tomorrow “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Matthew 6:26-30″ We are that precious to Him.

Today, come. Step out in faith into the face of adversity. step out in faith when faced with terror; when you really can’t take anymore but you can’t give in either. Step out in faith in all of your adorned brokenness. God is here.

Please pray for the Victims of the Grenfell Fire, those who are still missing, their families and friends who’s lives are devastated by this tragedy. Pray for a special blessing over the brave emergency services & medical teams caring for the injured. Pray for healing in the months to come. Please let us help them however we can. Such a beautiful wall of kindness & love from all communities has opened up to the Victims. It has erupted passionately, silencing the abyss of the angry fire that have robbed & hurt so many, many families.

London In Mourning. London Against Terror??& Stand United; The Year Of Difference:Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ

“And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it” Job 1:7 KJV

Yesterday I wrote about the continued need for intercessory prayer and asked for you, whoever you are & wherever you are, to join us in prayers of protection around Britain. Whilst others prepared physically for a show for the Victims of Manchester, we needed to be both alert & spiritually minded of the warfare we are in. Sadly, today we are visited by the distressing news of terror in the City of London. Many of us waking up to breaking news of evil, roaming our streets and causing devastation. Fear & dread. Hysteria & hatred. The is what Satan unleashed, “he is seeking whom he may destroy”.  7 People are dead. 48 People have been injured. All are Victims. All have had their lives cut short. The sanctity of life, once again, stolen & threatened. “Satan comes to kill, steal & destroy” BUT we are & will stand, against the wickedness from the enemy. God gave life to live more abundantly. The enemy is raging his ugly head. We must call on the Lord Jesus & will do this in prayer. We turn our faces to you Lord & plead to You to crush the “roaring lion, to cease his raging” against Your people. This evil is not done in the name of God, it is the wickedness of their hearts, turned cold against life & the beauty of living in peace. The enemy has fed these perpetrators lies and they have acted wrongly, on those lie but we plead the Blood of Jesus over London. Over the United Kingdom. WE stand not afraid or divided by harmful degrading words & retaliation but we call on Jesus to comfort, heal & deliver. We call on Him for peace. God will avenge the evil done to the many innocent people who have cruelly lost their lives in this atrocity; we are to leave judgement to Him.  We ask Him to enlarge the walls of our hearts to love, & to forgive; no matter how hard, even more. As Satan is relentless in his war against humanity, so we must be relentless in our love for our enemies.

God we ask you for a special anointing on the Emergency Services, the Police, Paramedics & warriors who extended the hand of friendship, love, comfort to the dying, as they were trying to save the wounded, the murdered. As they were helping the distraught & distressed, offering food & shelter to the scared, stranded & lost, last night. We pray again for the Government who has to act & do right, in the face of real adversity. We ask for You Lord Jesus to lead, direct & grant wise counsel to them. Lord heal Your people, heal our hearts from hatred. Forgive us for the wrong we have done. Hear the prayers & cries of Your people & comfort London in her time of agony & distress. For the 7 families who lost their loved ones last night, we lift your hurt up to God, we hold you as our own family. To the critically injured, we do the same and walk beside you as you heal & recover, especially, from the emotional trauma you have witnessed. To those bystanders who were terrified by what you witnessed on the streets of London last night, the amazing emergency services having to run to danger than from away & the medical teams, we ask God to bless you for your courage. WE thank you for your continued bravery to protect, no matter what you face.

If you require advice, support or prayer, please email or contact us here at LPCF. Please follow  @metpoliceuk on Twitter for all updates. May God bless us all; be alert, be courageous in the face of adversity, love our enemies, do not hate. “Be still & know” God is in control. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee” Isaiah 26:3
