Prayer / Fellowship Meetings

Prayer Walks, Staff Network Day 9th of May & Police Day of Prayer 10th May

The last few weeks some of our members have been attending Prayer Walks in London, I managed to get to one with Les Isaac from Street Pastors, Deborah LCPF Deputy Chair and a whole host of community members in the Penge area.

It was wonderful to be welcomed by Pastor Mel who has organised this walk and had event and she quickly put me to work, I went and spoke with members from the Local SNT who where doing an anniversary of the sad murder of a young man in a nearby park from November.  We then quickly got split into groups and off we went praying and walking asking for God’s influence on the streets, in the homes and with the people of Penge.

It was a wonderful event and other members have attended the Croydon Prayer walk as well as the Lambeth and Lewisham walks so many people out praying in the weather and so glad it was so well attended and we all pray it continues.

Tomorrow some of us from LCPF will be at ESB for the launch of the National Staff Network Day, we will be their to let people know who LCPF are, what we can do in way of help, praying for, praying with or being that friend at the end of the phone. If you are at ESB please feel free to come along and have a chat we will be on the 1st floor all day with out stand and some giveaways.

Very importantly with our family from the CPA we also have the National Pray for Police day on the 10th of May, this event is for anyone across the world in conjunction with the Archbishop of Canterbury’s prayer event “Thy Kingdom Come” to pray for the world and all that is happening within it, please have a look at the event (Link below) or feel free to contact us about it.

I hope you have had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, for those of you like me that had to work I pray you got home safely and you have had time to enjoy with your families and friends.

God Bless to each and everyone of you, have a safe week and I look forward to seeing many of you on the 23rd October at our event if not before.

??4The Bereaved;2017?The Year of Difference:Walk in The Light of Jesus Christ

“The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.” Proverbs 13:9 KJV

In the Book of St.John 1:4&5 it states “In him was life; and the life was the light of men And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” Life comes from Jesus Christ. The Light is Jesus Christ. No matter how dark our lives may seem or get even, The Light of Christ will lead us safely back to Him. We are His & He lay HIS life down for us. How precious are we to Him. Friend, His love for us is immeasurable. SO whether it be in the valley of the shadow of death; the storm; the cliff-edge; the depths of despair: just sound the alarm & The Light rescues us-immediately. At times we don’t even realise we need rescuing but the Light is already present, obliterating the darkness! One chink of Light is enough to ruin any dark room much less to the Light of The World, crushing the head of our enemies hallelujah?? The lamp of our enemy will be outed by the love The Light of Christ bestows on us, His children. He will not allow our enemies to triumph  over us. Now our enemies may not be human, they can be addictions; sickness; anyone  or anything which causes harm to us; God will deliver us from & ‘the lamp of the wicked’ which cannot overpower The Source of Supernatural, Eternal Light because it is temporal, will be put out!

We are called to be the Light & salt of this earth. “We are the cities set on a hill which cannot be hid.” We are billboards for the sincere love of Jesus. We must not let our Light flicker but stay connected to The Source who is Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ & we must love as He is love; forgive as He forgave us; feed the hungry as He feeds us; clothe the poor as He did us; see about the broken-hearted as He healed us and will perfect all which He started in our lives. We must reach the unreachable & touch the untouchable. Today we reach out for The Bereaved, those grieving now & those who have struggled to go on following their loss. Death comes to touch us all but with The Light & love of Jesus & His eternal peace comforting us, helping us to go on in this life, makes it liveable because we have hope. Will you join me and all at LPCF as we reach out & pray for The Bereaved to make a difference this 2017? Do you know someone who is grieving or facing the loss of a loved one? Is there someone you work with who is grieving? Maybe in your community? Pray for those displaced by war and the brutality and deaths they have tragically witnessed. Nothing is too desperate for Jesus. You can pray for them. I can too. You can do something kind, we can make an impact. Are you struggling and would like prayer? Please send your requests here and we will lift you up in prayer. God is able. Prayer by faith in Jesus changes things. HE can make a difference in us & WE can make a difference to someone each day. God bless you,

Samantha??

“London estates are the forgotten London, the bypassed, overlooked and ignored London. Except to Jesus Christ. To him they are the places where God is specially present, the object of an extraordinary love, and the focus for justice and hope.
This 24-7 prayer week will look to remember the forgotten, cross over to those often passed by, and turn our full attention to those usually ignored.
I commend this week to you and hope that you will commit to pray for the estates of London. In doing so we will, of course, discover that the Lord is there before us, calling us to join him”

Update re Pat Jennings

Hi all,

Just a quick update regarding Pat Jennings. Spoke to him last night on the phone and he thanks everyone for their prayers. Pat was rushed yet again from home into hospital on Saturday night after deteriorating to a critical condition. Once again he was worked on and revived. This being the third time. He is back at home again and he sounded to me much stronger. He can feel the presence of the Lord. He is not quite out of the woods yet and his faith is strong. He will get the results of his biopsy this afternoon as to whether his cancer has spread or not. Your continued support in prayer is appreciated. Next week due to lack of availability and exams I cant get a meeting organised. However Good News, the next meeting will be on Thursday 10th of December in room 282, 1300 to 13:45 This will be an LCPF prayer meeting specifically for healing . So if your ill, or know someone who is ill, wish to stand in the gap for someone, Or if you cant make it send me the name of the person and the will offer them up to the Lord in prayer. Lets see how the Lord will move when we call on him on that day. Have a very blessed week and be filled with his Joy which is indescribable.

God Bless. Bob Morrison

Luke 6:19 and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all.
