Psalm 46:10 KJV
”Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
It’s been a while since my last post as I have been seeking God’s direction & waiting to hear from Him to guide me. I have been spending time in His presence just being still, watching & waiting & I have been reading more of His word.
As I felt lead by The Holy Spirit to put pen to paper, I came across this teaching by Max Lucado, not – I believe, by accident but in confirmation by The Holy Spirit as a witness to God directing in how to reach His people & I wanted to share this with you all because Jesus entreats us to “draw closer to Him & give first place in our hearts”. With such busy lives, we sometimes put Jesus on the ‘back foot’ sad to say but let us be firm in our actions to meet with Him, to seek His face, to enquire of Him & to be still in His presence to hear from & be taught by Him. Yes! don’t forget the greatest teacher of all time & still teaching, is Jesus Christ “full of grace & truth. All knowledge & power bleongs to Him”. Come, make time in your day & lives to sit at His feet & learn from Him. God is waiting to hear from us.
“Practising The Presence of God
How do I detect God’s unseen hand on my shoulder and his inaudible voice in my ear? Give God your waking thoughts. Before you face the day, face the Father. Psalm 5:3 says, “Every morning, I tell you what I need, and I wait for your answer.”
Give God your “waiting thoughts”. Spend time with him in silence.
Give God your “whispering thoughts”. During your lifetime, you could spend six months at stoplights and eight months opening junk mail. Give these moments to God. Simple phrases such as “Thank you, Father,” can turn a commute into a pilgrimage.
Give God your “waning thoughts”. Conclude the day as you began it– talking to God. If you fall asleep as you pray, don’t worry. What better place to doze off than in the arms of your Father. By Max Lucado
Be blessed in Jesus name,
Samantha?
