Hello Everyone,
I trust you are well.
I would like to share a happening with you.
Many of you will know that the Surrey Cheif Constable, Nick Ephgrave, has accepted a new position as Assistant Commissioner in The Met. Last Thursday he held a farewell Afternoon Tea in Surrey for a number of Dignitaries, who had been very much involved with him during his time as Cheif Constable. He asked me to attend so that I could play the piano – light classical music in the back ground; as chatting and munching took place. I felt very honoured and privileged to be asked to be at such an event.
Prayer for Surrey’s Police Chaplain, please. Patrick is about to have his second medical procedure. Prayer that a bed will be available for him.
A special Christian friend of mine told me a few days into the New Year, that she had been invited to a nearby home for a buffet meal and to spend time with the family, as they saw in the New Year. She has been invited there on many occasions for meals and as has happened before, was asked to say Grace before they started to eat.
After Grace was said, – in which my friend gave thanks for these special neighbours and for the food etc; one of the young people in the family asked her – “Did you know what you were going to say in the Grace?” My friend explained that she was talking to God and no, she had no idea what she was going to say but knew that she really appreciated the family; the way they had invited her to join them for the New Year’s Eve Celebration Meal and of course she appreciated the food.
We read in His Word – Jeremiah 29.10
“You will call on me and come and Pray to me and I will listen to you”.
May I encourage you today to Pray about everything that is on your heart, just like my friend did on New Year’s Eve. She did not plan her words, it came straight from her heart and how she was feeling at that moment.
As it says in His Word “He will listen to you”
God Bless you and keep you.
In Him
Alice.
