Prayer Letter 8th June 2018

Hello everyone,

Very many thanks to Nick, Simon and Bert for the last three Prayer Letters. I asked them to “Put pen to paper”, so that you could hear from the three people who head up the work of the Surrey CPA. They are able to write in a way I cannot, they are the boots on the ground like yourselves; I am only able to walk alongside you.

Big Church Day Out. One of our Surrey Police Officers took a number of his family with him to BCDO. Two of his sisters became Christians and his Aunt went home with a lot of thinking still to do. Thank you, Lord, and Praying for those massively affected by the Event.

For Prayer

  • I am aware of a number of people who are hampered with minor problems in various areas of their lives; illness, family situations and ongoing personal battles that never seem to sort themselves out.

There comes a time when due to excessive work load etc, the body decides to go into melt down. This was my experience a few weeks ago. I admit I was pushing all the barriers. Thankfully it was minor and short lived.

At the same time, I heard former Chief Superintendent John Sutherland from the Met speak on the TV about his total break down due to the impact of his Policing career.

He said that two important factors were part of his recovery. “To Rest” and to meditate on “Be still and know that I am God” Ps 46. 10.

I pass his recommendations on to you today in an expression of Love to you.

Please make contact with me if you wish to do so by clicking here

May you know His Rest.

Alice.
