“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Phillipians 4:8 KJV
This verse is spiritual counselling with the simplest of remedy to a polluted mindset. The troubles & cares of this world threatens to dominate our very consciousness but if we position our minds to be like Christ’s and be ready to receive all of His goodness we have a barrier against this. The book of James chp 1 tells us “every good & perfect gifts is from above & comes down from The Father of Lights & He changes not neither turns His back on us.” When we consider this, we must place into our thoughts the goodness of God & His purity, love, truth, justice, the good news, kindness & keep thinking on them. Why He came – to save you & I. These thoughts will lead us to praise & replace all thoughts of negativity & despair. The “…think on these things “ part is the verb – the ‘doing part’ & we have got to act in order for transformation to take place. We have to continuously & persistently think on the true & lovely things of Christ & what He has already done in Scripture as a witness & testimony of just how great & wonderful & true He is; what He has done in each of our lives & that of others, the manifold blessings, some we are unaware of but it is God. We are also to think on what He has promised us that we will have in Eternity, the place He prepared for us, if we remain in obedience to Him, lest in between these good thoughts, the enemy comes to steal our joy, that’s how he works.
Lay hold, yes grab hold firmly, to this verse & take God at His Word because “it will accomplish that which it was set out to do” in our lives. In “…thinking on these things” in Jesus name, no other, chains will be broken as He frees our minds from the captive cycles and strongholds the enemy ensnares our thoughts in & we will remain in Heavenly places in our mindset & be in Christ’s peace. We will then begin to praise Him for His goodness & mercy towards us. #Dont forget to share this verse today??
God richly bless you,
