Hello everyone.
Thank you for the comebacks from last week’s Prayer Letter.
- I have received a request for Prayer from a Member of Sussex Police. Prayer please for a department where a Colleague has died. Also, family and friends of the deceased.
- I have over the last two weeks been the “Stranger” in a Stranger/Danger scenario, where school children are encouraged, by me -a total Stranger to them, to come with me. Prayer please for the safety of all our children in this world today.
As last week’s PL went out, I discovered it was International Women’s Day. I saw the following on Twitter, written by Nicky Gumbel.
2000 years ago, Jesus repeatedly liberated and affirmed women- treating men and women as equals. Women were the last at the cross and the first at the tomb – the first to be entrusted with the news of the Resurrection of Jesus.
Yesterday I met a member of Sussex Police who explained to me, “That in those days, women couldn’t be witnesses and had no legal authority in court.
If someone made up the account of Jesus’ resurrection, they would have definitely used men in their story to make it more credible at the time. The fact that women had these roles can make us more certain that this wasn’t made up but is accurate and true history”.
“God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God, He created them; male and female He created them”. Gen: 1.27.
I pray that you will live in the good this coming week, of knowing you are created in the image of Your Heavenly Father.
