Prayer Letter 9th February 2018

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your appreciation for last week’s PL. It is and always will be an amazing privilege for me to be allowed to communicate with you in this way.

I mentioned last week, Big Church Day Out.

Below a quote from an Officer who has worked at BCDO –

“The Safeguarding Team is made up of Police from various ranks, Social Workers and Youth Workers. We are free to wander around the event and be available to respond to calls for assistance on our radios. It is proper Policing without the politics and paperwork. We also identify any safeguarding concerns around vulnerable people. At no time are we identified as Police. It is great fun and truly amazing”.

I am sure there are times when you question “How valuable am I when it comes to my work inside the Police?” You may not receive much praise for what you do; you go out into the world around you and get spat at and you see what is written and said about you in the Media. I recall a Member of Staff joining me once in a Police Prayer Meeting. She introduced herself to me, “I am only the cleaner here at the Station”. Even as I write these words, I again experience a massive hurt inside me, that anyone should feel so undervalued.

It says in 1 Peter 1. 18-19. “We are not valued by the inheritance that is ours from our ancestors; which is perishable, such as silver and gold, but by the Precious Blood of Christ”.

Please may I encourage you to face today and the coming days knowing you are very precious in the eyes of Your Lord and Saviour.

My Daily Prayers are with you.
