“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” Revelation 21:4 KJV
As the day comes to a close, we at London Christian Police Family remember those who have fallen asleep serving others on this National Police Memorial Day 2017.
It is not prescriptive that we remember them in the morning, afternoon or evening, just that we do & we must. Remember the works they did, the laughter they gave & shared, the shoulder they offered in comfort or solace, the hug they extended to us, indeed, remember their lives they gave so that we could be safe in ours. Remember also the family of those who are now sleeping, resting from their labour. The family that is still here & please, continue to call, continue to visit them, send the cards & pray for & with them. Remember the friendships they shared. Let them not be an after thought but always in the front of our hearts & minds. Pray with us to God in thanksgiving, for the spark of life those who have left us had ignited in our presence, whether it was in working together on “duty”, in the office, behind the scenes or in the canteen simply saying “hi”. May they rest in peace & may we never forget their works of service for us, may we never forget these men & women of valour.
God bless you?
