Prayer Letter 21st July 2017

Hello everyone,

It is almost the holiday period. Reference has been made to this coming weekend as being by far one of the busiest on the roads as people go on holiday; now that the schools have broken up. For each one of you I Pray that you and your family/friends with whom you spend a holiday, will have an enjoyable and peaceful time.

It is also the time of year for Bible Weeks. Newday for 7,000 young people and Soul Survivor amongst others. A number of Sussex Police will be at Newday supporting in many ways. Prayers for Blessing and protection in these camps please.

Last week a 6 year old boy died called Bradley Lowrey. He had become known due to his lovely smile and bright personality despite the terminal illness from which he was suffering. I heard one person say, “This young lad has done so much in his 6 years of life”.

Most of my life is now behind me, how much have I done? What can I still do to be effective for the Lord?

As I thought on that, the song came to me “Make me a Channel of your Peace”. In your lives as Members of the Police Force, you experience very little “Peace”. Constant aggravation and tension. But you are there to bring Peace to bear in on Communities – in an Office or out amongst the people. (Again A Very Big Thank You).

My Prayer this week for you – “As you receive from Him, you in turn are filled to be the person God wants you to be – A Channel of His Peace”.

Many Blessings In Him

Alice.
