Prayer Letter 23rd June 17

Hello Everyone,
Many thanks for the replies to last week’s Prayer Letter.

FOR PRAYER

* Yet again another traumatic time for residents and Emergency Services in London.

* For many weeks, our Surrey Police Chaplain Patrick Samuels has been travelling regularly to Lancashire to see his Dad, who has been in hospital. His Dad died last Sunday. Patrick is grateful that he is now at peace with His Lord. The Thanksgiving Service is being held on Monday 26th June.

* I continue to remain in touch with Met Commander Stuart Cundy (formerly ACC in Surrey Police) as he oversees the Police Investigations at Grenfell Tower.

Earlier this week I read on Twitter, “Take a day off for my birthday – do CPR on an old man in the street while out getting my present #dayoff”

The writer is a Police Inspector in Devon and is very open about his Faith. As I read the tweet, I was reminded of another of my favourite verses – “You are created by God in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He has created in advance for you to do”. Eph 2.10.
Again, I want to thank you for always being there, always available. Prepared to go where needed. Great appreciation.
Being a Police chaplain, I can see that amongst the Departments I visit.

If you wish to make contact please do so by leaving a comment below

Many Blessings from your Heavenly Father.
My Daily Prayers are with you all.

Alice has been a friend of the LCPF for many years and has previously played the piano at our annual celebrations.

She has been a Volunteer in Surrey Police for 22 years. Eight years ago she joined SP as a Support Worker for the CPA; since when she has written the Prayer Letter every week, at Surrey HQ’s. She supports the Christians and many others in the Force.

Three years ago she was asked to be the Chaplain at Woking Police Station. Caring for the Major Crime Team for Surrey and Sussex and the Complex Abuse Unit; amongst other Departments.

Thanks to a new partnership between the LCPF, Surrey CPA and the Sussex Police Christian Fellowship the coverage of the Prayer Letter is now being shared between the force areas that the respective groups cover.
