Prayer Letter 16th June 2017

Hello everyone,
Sadly again we are very aware of horrific happenings in London. For those of us in Surrey, it is good to see our former ACC Stuart Cundy speaking on behalf of the London Police on TV and Radio. I know from his time with us here in Surrey this will not be “Just another job” for him; he will handle this with much care and love. I have been in touch with him sending our thanks and encouragement.

The horror on London Bridge and Borough Market, resulted in many distressed people. Surrey set up a Help Line Team at HQ’s. I received the following from a Member of that Team. (This person receives the PL). “I was one of the call takers and it was a difficult time hearing from loved ones trying to find out about their loved ones. What was nice to see is how everyone on that day here in Surrey, pulled together and supported one another and just did what they could do to support The MET”.

I want to congratulate Surrey PCSO Colin Gibbons, who receives the PL. On Tuesday he was Nominated as PCSO Of The Year and received his Award from the Chief Constable. He has and will continue to work at the College of Policing; soon to become an Advisor there on future Guidelines. Many Congratulations Colin. He will continue to be a PCSO.

Following last week’s “Bible Slot” where I encouraged you in who you are and what you do within your work in the Police; this week I am leaving the following verse with you. “You are here for such a time as this”. Esther 4. 14. Those of you who have read the PL over many years will know this is a favourite verse of mine. I would encourage you to read the whole of the Book of Esther.

My Prayers as ever are with you. Such terrible times around us.
May you know His Security, Care and Love as you move out to where He has called you for such a time as this, in The Met, Surrey and Sussex

In Him and with love in the Lord
Alice.
