“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” Proverbs16:9 KJV
Whilst the world looks to Manchester and the Sunday’s fundraising concert by the artist involved in the Manchester Arena attack & her fellow musicians for the Victims & their families; great preparation is taking place, primarily security preparations, sound checks; rehearsals & practice orders for the show, as well as press interviews in order for the show to be a ‘success’. The physical process of preparation are important but more important than these are the spiritual preparations. Why? Because the enemy is prowling the earth continuously & thus, we don’t fight a physical fight despite what the world believes. We are in spiritual warfare and we have been instructed to “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
The battle we are in is against the enemy and the fallen angels from Heaven, a third to be precise; Eph 6:12″For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Whilst the world looks on for the show & the physical aspects, we need to continue on our knees in prayer. Indeed, wherever you are, you can pray-even a short one because as we pray, we place a supernatural ring of protection around those we are praying for. Today, I am boldly asking you for intercessory prayers of protection and deliverance over those in Manchester, over the families hurting not only because of bereavement but those with life changing injuries, both physical & psychological. Today we ask for Gods direction.
It is our duty to pray to God, one for another “without ceasing” for the tasks ahead of us;”Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me” So even if it may appear ‘pointless’; even if one may ‘think’ ‘it makes no difference’; even if we ‘think God isn’t listening’ or someone says “what’s the point?” Keep praying! God hears “He is moved by compassion, with the bowls of mercy & by the feelings of our infirmities” He listens & responds. Finally, as we pray for every deceptive chain to be broken; as we pray for safety & against the evil plans of the enemy, whatever they may be, however devious & corrupt, as we stand united, together, again in continued prayer in the Holy Spirit; we do so like the Bible Parable of the ‘Persistent Widow’ who went to the unjust judge & he answered her; much more us. We are persistently approaching Jesus Christ Our Just & Faithful Father, The Father of Lights from whom all good gifts come; will He not grant us more? Yes He will.
Please continue in prayer for us here at LPCF @Christianpolice; @ChristiansinGMC @uk_cpa & all the Christian Police Families in every police force, supporting officers, civilian staff & anyone who is struggling with the trauma they have witnessed, not only in recent tragic events but everyday, in their job. Pray against the mentality some cruelly have, which is because some have ‘chosen’ this ‘profession’ they should ‘expect’ what they witness or get involved in. No. Lord Jesus, cover them & those affected by such trauma, under Your wing. Please direct us to do Your will & move away from our own because the arms of flesh fail. Send Your everlasting peace Lord Jesus because the peace of this world is temporary, Yours infinite.
Thank You Lord for Your love, presence & watching over us Your children, as we go through each day, committing all areas of the day, including tomorrow’s concert, into Your hands, let our preparation be done according to Your will & purpose, in Jesus name we pray, amen??
