Prayer Letter 2nd June 2017

Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for the responses I have received during this last week following the encouragement you have received from a number of recent PL’s. It is still for me a great privilege to be able to write and then allowed to send the PL to Surrey, Sussex and The Met.

* I have also received two requests for Prayer. We have Prayed for such situations before.
Moving into a new job…..
“Please Pray for me to be able to demonstrate wisdom and patience; that the Lord assists me with this new role, so that I can be effective”

* And then our children…….
A request….
“Please Pray for my son, just turned 17, who is experimenting with life, causing me a lot of anxiety and worry. For God to embrace him and keep watch over him”.

In the last few weeks I have heard the same verse a number of times. It is from a book in the Old Testament; a book that is not often used for sermons it would seem to me.

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with singing”. Zeph: 3 17

I am reminded of the hours as a Mum and a Grandma that I must have spent singing to my Children and my Grandchildren; particularly at those times of distress in their very young lives – not feeling well, had a bad dream, concerned. Slowly but surely they have calmed down and eventually gone to sleep in my arms. Such relief for me, because I know that I can return to bed myself and that I have been able to bring love and care into their thoughts and anxieties.

How much more can the Lord do this for us. He sees us for who we are and “He sings over us”.
As members of your Police Forces, I encourage you to allow the knowledge of His Love for you; to sink in and bring a balm to your busy lives.

If you wish to make contact with me, please add a comment below or click here

May you know in these coming days His Love for you.
Many Blessings in Him
My daily Prayers are with you.
Alice.
