There are times in life when we cannot quite work out why we are thwarted in what we want to do. I have found myself in that position over the last four weeks.
I had a Prayer Letter “sitting” in my head the 1st of May. Due to laptop/internet problems/holiday happenings, only now am I able to place those thoughts down; to share with you. I can see right now why I have not been “given” this opportunity earlier.
The background to that PL was my need again to show my appreciation to you all for who you are and what you carry out every day as Police Officers/Staff.
I wanted also, to share with you a paragraph from a friend of mine from my Church. He is the Paramedic for whom I asked for Prayer when the door of his moving Ambulance on the M25 accidentally opened and he was thrown out, onto “Thankfully” the hard shoulder, as it was transporting a patient between Hospitals.
Then Monday evening happened in Manchester. It seems only yesterday that Westminster, took place.
So yes this is indeed the week to show my gratitude to you all for your amazing work that you do. “Thank You” does not begin to touch the sides of the outpouring of gratefulness to the Police and other Emergency Services on Monday/Tuesday of this week. I repeat, “Thank You”. I understand amongst those who died on Monday evening was an off duty female Police Officer.
Here is my friend Mark’s Testimony.
‘My name is Mark and I currently work as a Paramedic in the South of England. I have a strong faith in God having accepted Him into my life as a child. In my 16+ years working frontline going into patient’s houses and on the street, God has protected me in many potentially violent situations. My work involves making difficult clinical decisions for patient care, I truly believe that God helps me in making these decisions and therefore, patients benefit from the care I provide. I felt called to work as a Paramedic by God and He gives me strength each day to work diligently for Him and for the patients I serve.’
“Paul, urges us to give thanks and to Pray for all those in Authority, it is good and pleases Him” 1Tim: 2 1-3.
My Prayers are with you all as you face the world in these coming days.
