Today’s Exhortation – The apple of My Eye
I would like to share an encounter I had with The Lord a few years ago. One day I was sitting on my bed when The Lord spoke to me in my mind. He said “Son you are the apple of My Eye.” As I was thinking about He had just said, He spoke again “You are all the apple of My Eye.” I knew by “All” He meant every human being. Then He said, “My Eye is big enough to fit all of you in it.” I shook my head in awe. I muttered to myself “God You are HUGE!! But who am I that You, should speak to me ? That you are mindful of me ?” Till today I’m still shaking my head in awe of the whole encounter. YOU reader, are the apple of God’s Eye. God is pursuing us with such an intensity it’s unbelievable.
Jesus’ death on the cross was not only to save us from hell. There’s more, in the beginning He made us like Himself but we fell short of His glory i.e. we became something less of Himself. But His love for us compelled Him to save us. So He became like us so that we could become like Him again. The Christian life on earth is a transformation process. Being changed into the likeness of Jesus. It’s a step by step journey. We’ll make mistakes along the way, take wrong turns, etc but if we keep our eyes on Him, in the end, we’ll be like Him! The bible says, But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (II Corinthians 3:18). Amen
