I trust you are all well.
I have just spent a very pleasant time, having lunch here at Surrey HQ’s with DI Jon Brydon from Sussex Police. Jon heads up the work of the Sussex Christian Fellowship. We have chatted, shared and Prayed together.
Thank you for your Prayers
Some time ago I asked you to Pray for an 11 year old Grandson, of one of our former Members of Staff. Back in February he underwent a 6 hour operation replacing many parts in and around his heart. He returned to school a few weeks ago and is now able to take part in contact sports. His healing has been outstanding. Grandad has asked me to thank you for your Prayers.
I am as a Grandma aware that exam time is fast approaching members of families; in Schools and Universities. Prayers for Dads and Mums/Guardians as they hold together family life at home right now, when it can be somewhat difficult.
We are now a week or so down the line from Easter. Across my path since then I “saw” this verse.
“On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” John 20:19.
The disciples were scared knowing their Leader Jesus had been crucified and decided to stay safe by locking the door of the room where together they were meeting. And then………Jesus stood amongst them. This really spoke to me. No matter what “room” in which I find myself, self-made, placed upon me by others, work related, family worries; Jesus stands in the middle of that “room/situation” and says “Peace be with you”. This is a Peace that the world cannot give, it is a Peace that the world cannot understand. His Peace He gives today.
May you know that Peace which passes all understanding in the days ahead of you.
My Prayers are with you daily.
