Today’s exhortation – comfort, comfort

““Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God.” (Isaiah‬ ‭40:1‬). “As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted…”” Isaiah‬ ‭66:13‬.
The Lord wants wants us to quit worrying and trust that His word never fails. If you slept and woke up, that is a sign of God fulfilling His promise and letting you know you’re His beloved. The word of God says, “It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.” (Psalms‬ ‭127‬:‭2‬). He says, “My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah‬ ‭55:11‬).

His promises are not based on our faithfulness, but on His. It is written, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” (II Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬). Also, your love for Him is not in vain. His word says, ““Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”” (Psalms‬ ‭91:14-16‬). So brothers and sisters in The Lord Jesus, Peace, be still, and know that He is God! “The God of peace be with you all. Amen.” (Romans‬ ‭15:33‬).
