Today’s exhortation – prayer and action!
There’s a proverb which says, “a journey of a thousand steps begins with a single step.” Every human endeavour, even the longest and most difficult ones had a starting point. Maybe you want to start a business or want to further your education or you’ve some issues to address, but have put them off because of the size of the challenge. Why not start today? Sometimes we pray and do nothing with the notion that we’re waiting on God, but He may be waiting on us to move first before He moves! When the Israelites were trapped between the Egyptian army and the read sea, Moses prayed to The Lord and the bible says, “And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” (Exodus 14:15-16).
God was waiting on Moses and the Israelites to move before He moved. There’s clearly a time for praying and a time for action! That obstacle in front of us won’t move until we move. Our spirit through our gut instinct will let us know if we’re to move or not. Most importantly nothing is too high for us to attain to for the bible says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13). Have a blessed week. Amen
