Hello everyone,
I trust you are well.
• Six weeks ago I asked you to Pray for an 11 year old Grandson of a former Staff Member in Surrey Police. He has now had his first check-up following major heart surgery. A number of parts of his heart and surrounding areas were replaced. All are functioning as they should. He returns part time to school on Monday; the following week full time, but no sports for now!! Grandad says – “We’re all delighted at this news and praise God for His Healing Hand during this time. We’re also very grateful to the team at the Brompton for their amazing work and care. Our grateful thanks go as well to you for praying for him”.
• I know from various conversations I have had, that the Surrey Force is very saddened by the early death of a much loved Officer. Prayers please for his Family, Colleagues and Friends.
A reminder again for the request for Officers to be available to serve for The Big Church Day Out. Details are attached.
Over the last few weeks, we have been studying the Book of Nehemiah in our Church. Nehemiah has over seen the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem and now the gates are in place. Last Sunday our Pastor spoke about the need for “Gatekeepers”. Wherever we are in life, we are all Gatekeepers. You our Police very much so in many areas of our lives. I want to honour and acknowledge you as such with grateful thanks. Nehemiah 7.1. “After the wall had been rebuilt and I, Nehemiah had set the gates in place, the Gatekeepers were appointed” “Heavenly Father, You have appointed men and women to look after us and keep us safe, essential Gatekeepers in our Society – our Police. Protect them as they go about their duty and give them Your Wisdom and Discernment. Amen.
