Show love & kindness❤2017?The Year Of Difference:Walk In The Light of Jesus Christ

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” St John 15:12 KJV

Jesus Christ, God Our Father, lay down His life for each and every one of us. He saw past our transgressions and our sin even before the foundation of the world and chose to go to Calvery for us. No one took His life, He lay it down so that we can be free. One song writer said “Such love, such wondrous love, that God should love a sinner such as l, how wonderful is love like this..” Can you fathom Gods love for you? I cannot. Every time I think of what He has done for me, how He chose me, how His love saved me & how He forgives me, my heart fills with indescribable joy. I weep too because I’m so undeserving but Gods open arms gathers me to Him, you too, His endless touch reaffirms to me that I am loved unconditionally.

As Jesus loves us, so must we love others, not just our family & friends but those we do not know. Those who come from other shores and need our kindness & love; those we may not like but we must; those who may have abused or hurt us; those who may not be kind to us but we must forgive. Why? Because Jesus forgave and still, forgives us. Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” His love knows no bounds, without measure, timeless, infinite, unconditional. The pure love of God.

Today the world is extending Valentine’s Day expressions of love. As Jesus pours His love into us despite all we do good & bad, let it not be the only time to say and to show, the love of God to each other and to others. Each and everyday, we need to extend kindness, charity, peace, humility, joy, patience & forgiveness, treating others as we ourselves want to be treated. Being the hands & feet of Jesus & loving from the heart He has for us, is the best thing we can ever do; 1 John 4:16 – “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him.”

About Samantha Alexander

I am a born again Christian and I attend The Refuge Church of The Living God, St. Mary's, Clissold Park, North London. I come from an extremely large Christian family, being one of 8 children,'sibling' to many foster children & I'm married to a gorgeous serving Officer. We share two wonderful, at times a handful?, extremely talented & sporty children. We are blessed by the laughter & joy they bring us. My role in the Met is within the Specialist Crime Directorate and I have been a Forensic Practitioner for the past 15years. I have overcome much adversity with my health & had it not been for Gods hand upon me, my faith & good support from my family & really beautiful colleagues, I would have given up long ago.
God has positioned me here for such a time as this & He has now opened this wonderful door to London Christian Police Family.
I love to laugh & encourage people around me & my joy definitely springs up when we can smile through our storms. May God ever bless you, Samantha?
