Today’s exhortation – God really loves us
I believe the message of The Father’s love is fundamental to our faith because when we know that He loves us, having faith to be believe Him for anything won’t be an issue. It would be easier to believe His promises for healing, supplying all our needs and His protection because He we would’ve the confidence in knowing He will keep His word. Knowing that God loves us also makes us confident. A lot of our issues are down to insecurity. We crave acceptance and belonging, because ultimately we’re insecure. When we don’t get complimented on something we’ve done well or when we’ve made an effort in our appearance, we get hurt. Jesus didn’t accept the praises of men, but only from God because He knew what was in their hearts. (John 2:24).
Before Jesus began His ministry on earth and before He was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, God made sure Jesus knew He loved Him. The bible says, “And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I Am well pleased.”” (Matthew 3:17). I believe that The Father was letting Jesus know that no matter what happens, I love You and I Am pleased with You. My love for You is not dependent on anything You do and My pleasure with You isn’t about You, it’s about Me. I am also very certain that if that was true for Jesus, the same is true for us. God loves you! Amen.
