Today’s exhortation – enjoy today

If you are reading this today, you are blessed and highly favoured because, well you’re alive. Whether things are great for you or not, you still woke up to see another day. It also means God has plans for your life and He’s not done with you yet! There may have been times when the thought of seeing today seemed unimaginable because the road was so tough, but here you are, you made it! Today is a gift from God to us and the gifts of God are to be enjoyed. But, before we tuck in and enjoy it, we must give thanks. As David said, “It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night,” (Psalms‬ ‭92:1-2‬)

“Because of The Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”(Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23‬). The same God who was faithful to bring us through yesterday, will take through today and through tomorrow. So whilst we enjoy today, let’s not worry about tomorrow. More over, The Jesus said we shouldn’t. He said, “do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭34‬). Let’s just enjoy today, it’s a good day. Remember that His blessings are new every morning so there’s a blessing in today for you. Amen
