Today’s exhortation – Hidden treasure
There was a woman who was given a paper by her rich employer on his death bed, but the woman couldn’t read so she just kept it. Several years later, she was very ill and visited by a doctor. She lived in poor conditions in a single room but the paper given to her was framed and proudly displayed by her bedside. The Dr asked her, who gave her the paper and she said her former employer. He then informed her the paper was her former employer’s will and he had left his entire estate to her. She had lived in poverty for so many years when she had treasure right beside her.
We too have treasure from God that I believe we don’t really know because if we did, we would’ve no fear of the devil or anything else. We’ll be unstoppable! The bible says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” (II Corinthians 4:7). This treasure is Christ in us as The Holy Spirit. Yes, the power of God has been deposited in us as treasure so that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. It’s not our strength, it’s His strength therefore, the sky isn’t the limit anymore, because nothing can hold us back. We must get to know The Holy Spirit. He’s the treasure. Amen
