Today’s exhortation – give thanks

If we cast our minds back to exactly where we were last year and the worries that we had, we can see that The Lord has brought us far. He has been good to us. Despite all we’ve been through with the worries and concerns, The Lord has been faithful to us. We may not be perfect or may not have it all together but as the psalmist said, “The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.” (Psalms‬ ‭126:3). Having recognised this, the only appropriate response is to give thanks to God. We give thanks not because He commands us to do so, but because He’s worthy of it all.

But even in giving thanks, God blesses us for it. There were ten lepers who went to see Jesus for healing and He sent them to go and present themselves to the high priest. As they were going, they got healed and one of them turned back. The bible says, “So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you whole.”” (Luke‬ ‭17:17-19‬). The one who went back to say thank you wasn’t only cleansed, he was also made whole. That means everything else that was wrong with him was made well. Thank You Father in Jesus Name for all that You have done and are still doing for us. Amen
