Prayer Letter 6th January 2017

Hello Everyone,
The following was written on Twitter by a Police Chief Inspector

from outside our Forces and is a Christian. He was about to go on duty for New Year’s Eve, covering a very large area. Family left behind. Husband and Dad walked out of his home, to care for others

“Minis and Mrs. …. all kissed happy New Year and goodnight – now for Public Order Command for………… hoping everyone has a great night!”

That is an amazing picture of Police dedication. A very big thank you! Surrey, Sussex and the Met. I realise too that this is not a once in a year happening, you do this daily. Yes again – “A very big thank you”. Also, gratitude to your families, who have to let you go, so that you can look after other people.

  •  Many Congratulations to two Surrey Police Staff, on the arrival of their daughter on Christmas Day. Please Pray for Mum and Baby; both recovering from a traumatic delivery and Dad of course as he cares for them both”.
  • I understand that two others in the Forces who also receive the PL have been asked to become God Parents to this little one. Prayers for you too as you support this special family).
  • Please submit news or requests for sharing via this PL

Now a New Year. What awaits us internationally/nationally and personally? What awaits the police family within the UK
During the weeks since the last Prayer Letter, two areas of God’s Word have come to mind – the Prodigal Son and the 23rd Psalm. We read that the Father saw his Son afar off. Did Dad just happen to be out there looking for him that particular day? I like to think that Dad was always outside waiting for him to come home. And then we are told in Psalm 23 that “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want”. Again a picture of a Loving Father who is always there looking out for us.
I Pray that as this year progresses, you will know your Heavenly Father is there for you, looking out for you and constantly caring for you.

Many Blessings
Alice.
