Today’s exhortation – are we ready for Him?

Last year, 23rd September 2015 some predicted the rapture! An event where it is believed that believers in Christ will be taken up to heaven either prior to or at His Second Coming. It must be noted that The Lord said no one knows the day or hour of His return. But the point of this exhortation is to get us to ask ourselves “If The Lord were coming tomorrow, am I ready to meet Him?” First and foremost one must accept Jesus as Lord and be born again! Then the bible says, “do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:9-10‬).

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. You must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.” (Colossians‬ ‭3:5, 8‬). This isn’t to bash anyone but a call all to repentance and readiness. As David said, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalms‬ ‭139:23-24‬). Amen
