Today’s exhortation – power of prayer
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. (James 5:16). For so long the devil has given us the impression that our prayers don’t really make a difference so we give up after five minutes and think it’s not God’s will to receive the thing we are praying for. I tell you that fear rips into the enemy’s camp as soon as we commit ourselves to prayer. Just one person can shake an entire nation with prayer let alone our families. God sought just one man to pray for a nation to be spared judgement. He said, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” (Ezekiel 22:30)
Mary queen of Scots is reputed to have said “I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe.” We are all God needs to save our children, family members, friends etc. We are all He needs to pray for Him to heal the sick person in our family. Prayer is so powerful that the one thing The Lord Jesus is doing in heaven right now is praying. The bible says, “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, seeing that He lives forever to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25). Let’s not give the devil anymore ground by praying without ceasing. Amen! Have a blessed week
