Today’s Exhortation – And Can it be … ?
I woke up one morning with disappointment and apprehension in my heart. I had wanted to wake up early to pray but I woke up late. Soon as I woke up, my heart was pounding and I was thinking o no! I have disappointed God again. As these thoughts were going on, I could hear this hymn in my head
“And can it be that I should gain
An int’rest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued?Amazing love! how can it be That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?”
I heard The Lord say, “son if you don’t say another prayer for the rest of your life I will love you all the same. I know what is in your heart.” Anyhow I looked up the rest of the hymn and the last part said
No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness Divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
Then this verse came to me, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1). We mustn’t allow the devil to throw the shackle of lies and condemnation on us again. God loves us unconditionally! Hallelujah!
