Today’s exhortation – creative ideas

Do you need a creative idea or solution? Are you fed up with your job or are you looking for one but don’t know what to do? How about asking The Lord for creative ideas to start your own business? There was an agricultural chemist by name of George Washington Carver who discovered 300 uses for peanuts. It is reported that in 1921, he spoke before the U.S. House of Representatives and was asked how he got his ideas and he said he asked God what to do with the peanut and God showed him. There’s also an instance in the bible where God gave people skills and creative ideas.

The bible says, “And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship…”
‭‭(Exodus‬ ‭35:30-33). From personal experience, meditation on God’s word and waiting on God are key to hearing Him. I will also suggest that one writes down the idea as soon as it comes to mind because it’s highly likely that one will forget it soon after.
